“An OK hotel close to town”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 January 2012

We stayed at this hotel after moving from a hotel w a y out of town.
Pleasant enough hotel with character ,pool ,breakfast was basic but good.
They also have a decent car for airport transfers and we used it for a day trip to floating village and was reasonably priced, It is only about a ten /fifteen minute walk to pub street from the hotel , and if you don't feel like walking tuk tuks are always waiting close by .
Staff could do with some training

“Hotel Nice, Staff Not”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 January 2012

We stayed here after booking through our hotel in Phnom Penh which was owned by the same guy. Lovely rooms, clean, great pool but the staff are like zombies. Very unhelpful and so obviously unmotivated that they made us feel like we were a disruption in their day. All in all, I would stay there again due to the location, rooms and pool.

“The staff could use some work!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 January 2011

Our stay was quite pleasant until dealing with the night staff. Overall the hotel rooms were nice and the free breakfast was decent but no one seems to know what is going on. We talked to an employee about a late late checkout and she told us it would be $10 extra, upon checkout the gentleman tried to charge us $20 then $15 saying she had made a mistake. We explained that we should not have to pay for her mistake and he got very rude and defensive. After agreeing on $10 we gave him our credit card and suddenly the machine wouldn't work, we ended up having to pay cash. After exiting the room he immediately went to our room and dumped out the trash can collecting empty cans telling us we needed to pay for mini bar charges even though we had purchased the beverages across the street. The hotel would be nice if they had staff that was service orientated or even just polite!

“Not the best option”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 January 2011

The Hotel is quiet old and the rooms/baths could be cleaner.
The breakfast is very poor for and the stuff try to charge you any extras. Be careful with the room prices, they try to charge you more than the oficial prices their web site.
There are much better options in the same road.

“Friendly employees - difficulty sleeping”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 March 2010

We arrived in Siem Reap without reservations and after discovering that walk-in rates were 50 percent higher than online quotes, our airport taxi driver recommended this hotel. The workers were friendly, the pool was inviting, and the price was right. The first room that we were shown had a heavy cigarette smoke smell, so we were given another room. The room seemed nice and clean. There was a secluded balcony overlooking a tropical courtyard surrounding the pool. The problems became evident when we returned later that night. The walls lacked almost all sound-proofing, so the people next door seemed like they were in the same room. The AC never cooled the room and actually did worse as the night progressed. When I woke up sweating at 1 AM, I called to the desk requesting a fan which was brought immediately. The next morning I booked a hotel online where we were able to check in two hours later at pretty low rates for a four star facility.
