“13-17 August. 2 persons”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 September 2010

we have enjoyed our stay at the small Passaggio Boutique Hotel a lot. very friendly and helpful staff and nice rooms. they have a nice terrace to enjoy the included breakfast and the small pool is great after a hot day at the temples.

within less than 5minutes walk you will reach the old market / pub street area. a great way to explore Siem Reap and Angkor is with their rental bikes!

“terrible place...and very rude and incompetent staff”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 July 2010

we were the only two guests in the hotel and so we hoped for a bit of attention but we soon found out that we were wrong.
the hall of the hotel was bad kept as everithing else and there was all the time a terrible stench that pervaded the place.
our room was nothing like the ones that are published on the website of the hotel: the toilet is terrible (we even found a "little present " in the wc when we arrived) and also the furniture.
the night the electricity went down (nothing strange) but they didn't even had a generator which you find even in cheap guesthouses and when we told the manger of the hotel about our problems she told us to leave which we immediatly did.
it's a bad kept hotel with a terrible value for money and incompetent staff.
don't go there

Really nice little place. Just over the bridge from town so a bit quieter but still only a few mins walk from the action.

Lovely pool and terrace with sun beds. Good breakfast and really friendly staff.

Would stay here again.

“Wonderfully polite and helpful staff, good breakfast and charming pool area”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 July 2010

The staff here are very warm, welcoming and humble. The rooms are tastefully decorated (we stayed in two rooms on the first floor (second, if you're from the US!) at the front, both were quiet and very clean. The breakfast was the best we've had in Asia (lovely crunchy baguette), we ate overlooking a pretty terrace. The pool is a little oasis of calm, it has loungers which are positioned so that they're perfect for sunbathing whilst providing shade from the parasol. The sound of the water feature and greenery screens the sights and sounds from the street. Perfect for relaxing after your early start and hot walks around Angkor Wat.
The location is perfect for the bars on pub street, the covered market for souvenirs and your visit to Angkor Wat.
There are bikes for hire also (money to charity), this is a mcuh more fun and flexible way of seeing the ruins, than getting a tuk tuk. Go very early for the sunrise and to avoid the heat of the day, we left at 4.15am.
