I stayed here for 5 nights in March 2011. I took a single room with fan and hot water shower for $9, they have a range of rooms at different prices - some without hot water are cheaper whereas those with AC are at least 3 dollars more expensive.
The en suite room was a good size and well-appointed, with TV, cupboard, bedside table and Khmer art on the walls, also with traditionally patterned bedclothes. Because it was quite a big room the fan didn't cool it as much as in some of the other places I've stayed, so if you need it cool to sleep comfortably probably best to shell out the extra for an A/C room.
In the lobby as a few of the other reviews have mentioned there are usually a few tuk-tuk drivers looking for business. I did go on a tour to Banteay Srei with one such driver and it went well. The days I didn't want to go on a tour I just said no thanks and waved as I walked through. I found the guesthouse staff to be variable; some were quite friendly but others were less so, and the service in the restaurant could be better. The wi-fi worked in the lobby and restaurant but was a bit temperamental, and there was no signal in my room on the 3rd floor.
One word of warning for anyone coming here from Poipet: I took a taxi with Capitol Tour (who have an office at the guesthouse) and the driver went as far as another guesthouse on the outskirts of Siem Reap and told me I had to get out there and take a tuk-tuk the rest of the way. Don't pay up-front for the taxi, because they don't go where they say they will! I bought a bus ticket to Battembang through the guesthouse and this trip was free of problems.
