Our room was perfect for the price we paid.
Staff were incredibly friendly, especially in the restaurant. The two brothers made our trip fantastic, and we felt at home!
Perfect location- just a short walk to the center.

Hotel clean, safe. Support nice, but too persistently urging the tuktuk, but this is the charm of Siem Reap. At the restaurant I recommend only beer,..Dinner was ok, but we waited a very long time..for breakfast we waited 50min. and I got the soup of the bag - i order normal soup. I recommend the hotel, but steer clear of restaurants!

I stayed here in July 2010, after the guide recommended me this guesthouse. They quoted me US$6 for a room and then gave me a discount of US$2 after I told them the bathroom didn't have proper doors - the hinges was falling off and the a/c was not so cold, but that was ( apparently) the only room they had.
I had a great time in Siem Reap visiting the temples and the bars, the location was pretty good but the staffs' attitude was really terrible, I came back after dinner and it was raining and I asked if I could get some hot water, they were all sitting in the lobby laughing loudly, and they told me off, saying they do not have hot water on their premises, even from the kitchen! I stood there dumbfounded and a staff had the cheek to tell me to go out and search for hot water in the pouring rain. I told them that I am going to talk to the manager and miraculously someone went into the kitchen and brought me some hot water. I decided to leave it but when I checked out the next day they added US$4 to my bill for no reason, again I demanded to speak to the manager and the staff was really rude to me and asked if I need to go to the manager for such petty issue? I felt really stupid staying there and will not recommend this place to anyone. The location and price might be great but the staffs' attitude sucks big time.

Location-
It was pretty good, easy to navigate the town. Lots of bars, restaurants and a mini mart just a couple of blocks away.
Room-
We initially booked a double share bathroom room which was $4 usd per night. Upon looking at the room we decided to see what else they had as there was no wifi in the rooms and it was just a small room with a double bed. They skipped showing us the double with private bath for $6 and showed us the double private bath with tv for $8. We ended up getting the room with tv and leaving the next day for Palm Garden Villa. Palm Garden charges $9 a night for a double with a tv (tons of channels), fan, private bath, much quieter location, free breakfast, tea and coffee, free fish massage, free bicycles and free tuk tuk into and back from town after 6pm as well as free airport and bus pickup. Not to mention an wonderful staff.
Staff-
The staff were very pushy. We arrived there in early afternoon, they pushed for us to get a pricier room, which we ended up doing. Then the 3 times we went back and forth from the room that day they badgered us about where we were going and that they could take us to where we wanted to go for cheap. We just wanted to walk around after sitting on a bus all morning, but they didn't seem to comprehend this. The next day we used the internet in the cafe, where we felt pressured to buy something, to book a room at the Palm Garden and we were out of there before noon never to look back.

Over all the place was fine. If you are a backpacker and just want a super cheap place to sleep I would say to go for it and just try to ignore the pushy staff. I would recommend Palm Garden Villa, it's so much nicer for one more dollar even though that is cancelled out my getting a free breakfast and coffee every morning.
