“Friendly, clean & affordable in a great location”

Run by a very friendly family, this guesthouse has all you'll really need during your trip and for a fantastic price (US$12 for two people in twin sharing). It has a hot shower, air-con, fan, satellite TV and very helpful staff.. The proprietor is blind and gives a wonderful foot massage after a hard day trekking around the temples.. It's location is excellent, right in the heart of old Siem Reap, within 2 minutes walking distance of Pub Street and the old market.. Will stay here again on our next trip (3 days was not enough for us).

“great central spot”

We were met at the airport and given great advice on Angkor Watt. We paid when we left. Very inexpensive. Would stay there again. Wish there were other places in Asia as good value.

“Scam”

This guesthouse is running a scam.

They take your booking and payment over the web. They meet you at the airport as agreed. They say they are overbooked but have placed you in another guesthouse, Angkor Voyage. They assure you your web payment will be passed on to A. Voyage.

On checking out A. Voyage demand payment and get mad as hell when you point out the already agreed arrangement. In a rage they smash their mobile to the floor and say you must pay for the broken mobile as well.

There is a standoff. They have our luggage and passports and key to our room. One of us goes out and, after much persuasion, gets a policeman to come in. He says we must pay for the room and the mobile.

We have $113 in cash on us and we give it to the policeman. As we are leaving with our luggage they are dividing up the money.
