My sister and I came to the hotel for a drink at the bar (we did not stay here). Though we stayed at another hotel, our mother and our grandparents stayed with you 40 year ago. We came to toast them. We each had a Raffles specialty cocktail and spent about $200 in the gift shop. The service we had gotten until our departure was excellent.

The young men who opened the door started talking and laughing. My sister is quite heavy, and it was obvious, even though we don't speak the language, that they were making fun of her. The hotel, that night, was hosting quite a few heavier guests. It was very unpleasant and ruin not just the night.

I reported this via email and when the 7th went unanswered, I called. It was barely an "I am sorry" for the event and nothing regarding not repling sooner.

This hotel is up there among the best that I have stayed in.
From champagne breakfast, to everything you could ever want being anticipated before you could ask.
A wonderful stay was had.

This is not a luxury hotel. It is a character hotel with history and location. My room was very antiquated in every way. It was fine, but not five star. There is a lot of charm and history - the old elevator was sweet. The staff was excellent.

We spent New Year's eve in the Grand Hotel in Siem reap and it was an unforgettable experience. We signed up for the Gala New year's party which was just great : food, service, wine, champagne, band, dance and the people we met were very enjoyable. The best New year's eve party we ever experienced.

We reserved a suite and were upgraded to a very nice Villa next to the swimming pool. The villa was enormous and decorated in a very tasteful way. Very close to perfection !

Also the breakfast was great. With champagne and a huge choice of European and Asian food.

We will definitely be back !
