“Relaxing four day stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 February 2012

My friend and I arrived on a Sunday evening and stayed for four days. We came to Siem Reap on vacation from our jobs in Vietnam (we're teachers). We stayed in a triple room (I think #7), even though there were just the two of us. The beds were very comfortable and the facilities were clean. My friend and I really enjoyed the complimentary breakfast in the morning, set outside in the garden. The staff were all very helpful.

Like some of the other reviewers before us, there is a problem with the water pressure not always working. However, if you turn the tap on for five minutes, that usually seemed to do the trick. Despite, there being this small issue, I would still come back to stay here again.

The hotel was very family friendly. The pool was great. However, be warned to bring mosquito repellant if you come to Siem Reap in January. I barely got bit, but the mosquitoes seemed to really like my friend.

“Cosy guesthouse in a calm garden”

We stayed here for 3 nights and felt really comfortable. We had a nicely decorated, cosy room in the upper floor, enjoyed delicious cocktails at the pool and the decent breakfast. We also hired one of the River Garden Tuk-tuks for our tours to the temples of Angkor. The stuff was friendly, most of them speak quite good English. If you happen to try to communicate to them who don't they find a way to understand you. I would stay there again.

“Great oasis of calm”

We stayed here for 3 nights during a 5 week trip around Indochina. We booked this hotel based on the reviews here on Tripfinder. The hotel provided an efficient transfer service form the airport which was waiting for us on our arrival. Our first impression on arrival at the hotel was something akin to organised chaos but we soon discovered that this was merely a first impression. Our room was quite lovely (we had one of the big private balcony rooms which was well worth the extra cost) and we found the entire hotel to be a complete oasis of calm into which we could escape when not temple hopping, it was great to get back here and be able to completely relax in quiet and comfortable surroundings. The restaurant was very good and represented good value for money. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone.

“the Yes & No...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 December 2011

Decided my booking after reading rewiews from TripA.
The first impresion of the entrance /reception is one of a room that badly needs a fresh hand of painting , another softer type of lightening ( argh! those neon lights!) and nicer furniture...Staff is very nice , maybe sometimes too friendly that you wonder what they expect from you..( an extra tip?)but it's fair enough , they are very poor...
garden and swimming pool ok , breakfast a bit poor ( no choice of bread ,and why nescafè ? , not one Cambodian specialty )our room was ok ( " deluxe") terrible pink Lycra curtains at the windows , no water pressure ,it could do with a bit of new furniture ( they sell so nice and cheap materials at the markets!) the great thing was our huge terrace which we enjoyed very much.Restaurant very good , so was the cooking lesson.
Pity we weren't ackowledged at all by the owners, hardly a brief hello at breakfast, and we stayed there for 5 nights! we also had 3 excursions booked through them ,of average quality.( the" gourmet basket "of the Angkor Wat day trip was filled with fruits , fruits and fruit juice!!)
I guess that for the price they are surely other nice familly run hotels in Siem Reap.
Our impresion was one of a "was-once-a-nice-place "...it's not too late to react!!

Room Tip: De luxe double room with the huge private terrace.

“Loved it - a great respite from the temple hopping”

My family and I spent 4 days here, loved it! Great food (really cheap!), nice people and the New Zealander who owns it (correction to a previous review :)) is a great guy. Good value, lovely place.

Room Tip: Get the private dinner cooked by the chef next to the pool; it was great!
