“Labor Day Weekend Stay - Hotel Jam Packed”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 October 2011

We stayed at the Fairfield Inn over the Labor Day weekend. The hotel was sold out and I expected the experience to be messy. However, I was totally surprised. Extra staff was at hand, the check in was smooth and the management had extra tables laid out for the complementary breakfast.

In all, we enjoyed our stay here. It is so close to main casino boardwalk - 5 miles. The cheaper rates can’t beat the location.

Stay here and you can still enjoy AC!

Thank you for your comments regarding your stay with us during the Labor Day weekend. You are absolutley right that during the peak season and holidays it tends to get quite crowded around the Atlantic City area. This year we planned well with the extra staffing and extra accomodations around the breakfast area, and I thank you for noticing the effort the staff put it. We look forward to having you return as our guest the next time you are in our area. Have a great day and thank you again !

“Great rates and off the beaten path!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 September 2011

I stay here on occasion when traveling for work. The building is older but well maintained. The bathrooms are very small and the furnishings in the room are not plush. Still it's more than adequate when traveling for business.

“Disgusted- had to leave”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 September 2011 via mobile

There were dead bugs on both bedspreads. Pretty sure at least 1 was a mosquito definitely but not sure about the others. It was gross and we left immediately. Would never go back to this hotel and probably not any other Fairfield inn either. So disappointed especially as a Marriott member.

“Pretty Good!”

Stayed here for a DAY on labor day weekend as the hotel where we watched a concert was asking more than twice for what we paid for here and required a 2 nite stay. This was my choice in Absecon - as I have never been really disappointed in a Marriot hotel or any of their chains. The drive to/ from Atlantic City was short, worth making the trip if you want to save some $$$. Check-in was a breeze - we came in 30mins early and we got our rooms. Ample free parking space. Clean rooms, bathrooms, and enough space. Beds were comfortable. We had a good nite sleep after a long day! Ask for a room at the back to avoid hearing noise from the highway (did not bother me a bit but I did notice since I read a review that mentioned it). Free wifi and breakfast! Would be good if they provided more toiletries (shampoo, etc..) without having to ask for it. Yes, the breakfast line was long, but it is tolerable - hey I'd take free any time of day! They had fresh fruits, fruits cups, yogurt, bagels, muffins, cereals, eggs, sausages, breakfast sandwiches/quiche, juice, coffee, tea, a waffle maker. Would definitely consider when I go back to AC! I also posted some pics :)

Room Tip: request a room at the back to avoid highway noise

Good Morning,

Thank you for your comments regarding your stay with us here at the Fairfield Inn. As you stated in your comments our property is a great alternative to the high prices of Atlantic City and a very short drive away. Our Upgraded continental breakfast is great with all the different opttions, and yes during the summer it can get a little crowded but we are implementing new alternatives for next summer. Again I would like to thank you for your comments and am looking forward to having you as guest in the near future.

“Romance package is good....”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 August 2011

My wife and I spent a night at the fairfield inn for our anniversary. I purchase the romance package that came with dinner at the Melting Pot in Atlantic City. We arrived about 3:30 and ran into a back up in the lobby. Word was housekeeping had just finishing the rooms and the manager was doing inspections before they started giving out room keys. Minor inconvenience for my wife and I, we sat down in the dining area and had some complimentary tea & coffee.
About 4:15 we recieved our key to the room, king size bed, fridge (did not cool), microwave, jacuzzi tub (outside the bathroom..interesting). Room was a cool 64 degrees, we cut that down to 72. My wife loved the heating lamp in the bathroom, apparently not to many hotels have that any more (excellent job guys).
Our voucher for the Melting Pot was suppose to be in our room and the front desk told me it would be delivered. It had not. I had made 7pm reservation, so about 6:15 we went down to the desk. The manager apologized and provided us with our voucher.
Fairfield has a shuttle that runs every hour to the Resorts Casino, but we drove. Only took about 10 minutes. Parked for $12 in the open parking lot across the street from Trump Plaza with is $20-$30 for parking. The only thing we paid for in the Melting Pot which can easily run to $150 for two people was drink and tip. Awesome!...Walk the boardwalk, lost a few dollars in the casino, then came on back to the hotel.
The soda & ice machines were out of order on our floor (5th), hopefully that has been resolved by now. So I had to go down to the 4th. Breakfast the next morning consisted of eggs, sausage (i believe pork), toast, bagels, muffins, fruit. They even had some breakfast sandwiches and yogurt in the mini fridge. About 6 people in line for the waffles, so I didn't bother. I would suggest adding another waffle maker or premake some and place them into the top of the double warmer they had were the sausage and eggs are kept. Just a suggestion. Overall, I would return. That romance package is worth it..

Room Tip: The romance room was $250 but comes with free dinner worth $100. Excellent deal.

Good afternoon,

Thank you for your comments and concerns regarding your stay at the Fairfield Inn Atlantic City North. I am pleased to hear that you enjoyed the romance package while you stayed with us. The package is in fact a great deal as the dinner alone would add up to be an expensive night out if it werent for the complimentary voucher. The breakfast is a great bonus as it is more than just your fruit and ceral and offers hot items as well which you listed above. The weekends tend to be a little crowed and we have since taken your comments and purchased another waffle maker. Again I would like to thank you for your comments and look forward to having you return as our guest in the near future.
