After our experience across the road in Hotel Bibosi we found this place very nice. They even allowed us to store a box of clothes for 3 days before we actually stayed there. Our room was a comfortable size with a nice bathroom and a huge balcony outside. Even though it was on the busy street it didn't disturb us.
The common areas were large, clean and comfortableand breakfast was good.
Hotel is close to everything. And staff are friendly and speak English.

“A Dive to Advoid”

I reserved a room in this hotel following a recommendation from a leading travel guide. The Copacabana Hotel is on a busy, dirty, noisy street, two block from the Plaza. When I arrived the small reception area was filled with cigarette smokers who were sitting and talking in the worn couches. The first room I was put in was no larger than 10'x10'. I complained (this is not what I reserved) I was put in a slightly larger room with an A/C that worked intermittently through the night. The blankets on the beds were dirty and smelled. There was a smell of sewage coming up from the floor drains in the tiny bathroom, and, when I awoke during the night and turned on the light, I found cockroaches scurrying on the floor. Needless to say this place is a dive. Not recommended.
