“Truly excellent hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 February 2012

We spent several days at this hotel. The rooms were very clean, comfortable and well-appointed, the views spectacular, and the quality and standard of the meals excellent. But what truly sets Hotel Rosario at Lake Titicaca apart from most hotels is the highly professional staff, who are prepared to extend the service they offer far beyond normal. This comment refers in particular to Mario and Benjamin, who were absolutely tremendous in assisting us with items lost prior to our arrival at the hotel. We can't recommend this hotel highly enough. For us Hotel Rosario stood out among the many hotels we stayed in during our three week travels in Peru & Bolivia.
MPMG, Australia

Room Tip: All rooms have tremendous views, so its hard to recommend any in particular.

“3-star hotel but 5-star quality”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 February 2012

This hotel is an unexpected surprise, a gem, in the Aymara Indian village of Copacabana, Bolivia. The architecture is Spanish colonial style. Our room was spacious with a modern design and with tasteful local native decorations. Spectacular view of Lake Titicaca. Room, bathroom, hallways, restaurant, public areas all spotlessly clean. Grounds and landscaping are well tended. Staff members are helpful, gracious and multilingual. Very nice breakfast buffet, and staff can make omelettes and other items for you.
The hotel is right on the beach where you can take boat rides, for example to the Islands of the Sun and Moon. We took a short boat ride to the "floating islands" where you can have fried trout that was just caught minutes before. On Copacabana beach, there are numerous kiosks where you can also enjoy fresh trout cooked in various ways.
This 3-star hotel is nicer, prettier, and more comfortable than some 4- and 5-star hotels we have stayed in, both in Bolivia and in other countries. Highly recommended.

“Beautiful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 January 2012

This was a fabulous hotel, being a family of 5 we had 2 rooms. Both the rooms were modern & wonderfully appointed. Fantastic view down to lake Titicaca from our bed & small lounge area. The staff were extremely helpful & attentive. Highly recommended.

“When I walked in I knew I picked the right place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 January 2012

Since ditching my tour group in Puno, I made my way to Copa having no idea where to stay. A taxi driver dropped me here and I knew at once I was in a good place. I walked into my room and what I saw blew me away. The place was gorgeous. A beautiful sitting area, very nicely decorated, very nice comfortable beds, plenty of hot water and to top it off the view from my back door was of Lake Titicaca.

The staff was all fantastic, one of the guys in front had been a mail carrier in Philly and spoke perfect English. That really helped out as my Spanish is lacking to say the least.

Down the hall there were some guys painting a room and whenever I saw them they always said hello and the dining room actually called me to make sure I would not miss breakfast.

The price was about $86 a night and worth every cent if not more.

What more can you ask for, great room, great staff, restaurant was great and price was cheap, to me.

Room Tip: Get a room facing the lake, the views will blow you away.

“Wonderful hotel, great service, charming”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 January 2012

This was my first trip around South America, and someone told me that services in Bolivia are not good, but he was mistaken. Hotel Rosario granted me one of the very best services I ever had, the personnel there is really compromised with their work, too efficient. Usually I have bad luck in Restaurants, always my food arrive too late, but here was wonderful I ate delicious lake fish at the perfect time. There was a waiter who greets and communicate in many languages, he speaks portuguese and greets people in German perfectly! (Marcos), his colleagues were very kind and smiling, in opposite to the hotel Manager - he works as a recepcionist too - seems to be very anger due he yelled a guest in the saloon in Spanish (but fortunately there wasnt a fight, the guest was politely and obeyed the order, I think he deserves an apology). The rooms are beautiful and the bed too comfortable, you can see the lake while you take a shower!!, and the colours in the sky over the lake at the sunset are one of the wonderful scenes that nature give us. Some guest commented me that there was a beautiful handicrafts store "Jalsuri" with marvelous articles to buy at a good price....but :=( it is not longer there. I really enjoyed the trip, I recommend it for a familiar trip and if you want the adventure you can visit Sun Island to explore the Incas Teasure!, Take care with the buses are really uncomfortable (I sorrow not to hire Turisbus service!!!...next time I should to hear advice)... now I continue my trip to Santa Cruz.......Samaipata I goo....
