“I would definitely recommand this hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 November 2011

This is a really friendly hotel in Cochabamba.
Rooms are tiny but nice and very clean. I didn't have any mosquito in the room even if I let my door open the whole evening. Maybe it was not the mosquitoes'season ? I had a well functioning airco in the room as well and wifi was OK.
We received a welcome drink (pisco sour) that we enjoyed in the restaurant. There was lot of choice on the menu, not that much expensive (80 bolivianos for a plate of seafood spaghetti and a beer).
As we had to leave at 5.30, we appreciated as well that the personnel prepared for us a take away breakfast with croissant, bread and some fruit.
Only disadvantage is that they worked with machines until 10.30 PM, but after that it was very quiet.
I would definitely go back to this hotel next time I'll go to Cochabamba.

“Beautiful, Historic Hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 October 2011

This is by far the most elegant hotel in Cochabamba. The beautiful courtyard is a great place to mingle at night or take a stroll during the day. The pool and hot tub both appeared very clean and nice, though we didn't get in.

The rooms are small, since this is a converted convert. However, the rooms are clean, well-furnished, and pretty quiet. The continental breakfast (not-included) is wonderful; and the restaurant serves up great meals for lunch and dinner, too. The hotel is a pricey place for Bolivia, but still very affordable. We thought it was well worth it.

“Great settings, small rooms no AC”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 October 2011

This is a 1940s hotel that was renovated in 09. The hotel has a great location and renovation took care of lobby area, restaurants, pool etc. Rooms remain small and pretty basic: bed, cable TV, very small desk and no AC which can be a problem in summer. As previous reviewer has stated, room windows face corridor which can be noisy when other guests pass by.

Bar is very good as is the restaurant. Breakfast buffet is served in a gallery close to the gardens and is very good.

Overall OK specially if you just go to hotel to sleep and are away most of the day.

“it's not worth it!! Full of mosquitos hotel!!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 December 2010

it's not worth it!! Cochabamba became a really hot city, and this is a hotel with no air conditioning at all and no good room ventilation. Noisy, not easy to rest since room windows point to the catwalks instead to point to the other side.
Too many mosquitos, and administration not willing to help with this. Why they dont fumigate? They have an attitude of accept it or leave!!
It is not worth it!!

“Fantastic Renovated Hotel”

This is a real GEM. Sunday Brunch to die for - definitely 5 star.
They are adding / renovating adjoining parts and if they continue what they have done, this will definitely become THE place in Cochabamba.
