I stayed here for one week. They require you to deposit some amount of money if you don't have credit card. Once the deposit used up, the room will be locked and they will ask you to deposit again to continue stay. Clean room, good wifi but no fridge/bar inside the room. The reception staff are not that friendly but eventually they will be as they see and greet you almost everyday.

It was a cool place anyway., offer break fast only. But you need to go to the town or nearby hotel for your lunch and dinner. There is now room service. Poor very poor. Envirolment clean. My room was not kept one day untill I complained the following day before they came to do it.

This hotel belongs to a worldwide brand. In that regard, nothing to say: comfort is there and wifi in all rooms. But very impersonal, and more important, the people at the reception are incredibly unfriendly. They never smile. For my check-in, I had to wait 15 mn to get my room and asked 900 euros deposit for 9 days (as if we were thieves), which was more than the total amount of the 9 nights, assuming we would eat in the restaurant every day. First time I saw that in my life! And I am travelling 7 months in a year. The food at the restaurant is tasteless and expensive. Very bad experience. I left after three nights.

It would be hard to lose anything in a room at the Ibis since all you get is a small box with an open hanging space and a couple of shelves. But the bed is comfortable, the sheets clean, the water hot, and relatively good wifi access provided for free. The bar/restaurant only serves light snacks but you have full access to the sister Novotel on the other side of the carpark - complete with decent restaurant and swimming pool. Recommended for anybody needing reasonable value, comfortable, safe (if somewhat soulless) accomodation tucked away from the chaos of Cotonou.
