Way too expensive for the service provided.
As the name suggests, it's located in the port. In fact, it's surrounded by containers and noisy container trucks (and truck drivers) that block the street most of the time.
The room was smelly to nauseous levels.
Electricity in my room would go down every few hours. I had to call the reception, for them to switch it back on!
Big pool, but closed on Sunday (!!!!). Also, no 'shorts' allowed for swimming, only briefs (?????). I was told I could not use the pool because I was wearing a short (a perfectly fine swim suit) for hygienic reasons!!!! Unheard of!
Only plus, free wifi and some friendly staff at restaurant.
NEVER AGAIN!

I stayed at Hotel du Port in Cotonou, twice now! Next week I will be going there again.

Overall the Hotel is just fine. It is true that it is situated right next to the container area of the port and it can be a bit noisy at night when the containers are being pushed around! That is about the only negative thing!

The hotel itself is fine, with good rooms and a very pleasant recreation area. There is a good restaurant and good outside bar/snack service.

There is other facilities such as a hair dresser, night club, curios shop, good taxi service, etc.

American Express and Visa cards are being accepted.

Nice place!!
