For 3 nights my husband and I stayed at this Comfort Inn. I made the reservations under the Choice Priviledge Program. At the time of reservation I requested a King size room on the first floor, as I was told there was no elevator in this Comfort Inn. Upon arrival , around 7pm there was no one at the front desk. Another couple was waiting also. We rang the bell and knocked on an office door, and called out. Finally after about 15 minutes a young man appeared. Repeatedly throughout the weekend this employee was to be found on the front porch of the Inn, smoking a cigarette.
He told us there was no first floor room available and that there was no notation on the reservation. He also said our "free $25 gas card "would arrive in the mail. We have never received this.
Our room, although difficult to get to , was clean with a very comfortable bed. There were however, smoking rooms right in our hallway and you could smell smoke often. Breakfast was decent. The small pool was clean and refreshing.
Upon checkout, I noticed that our charge was about $4.00 or so more and I was told I was charged a daily "fee" for a safe that was in our room. I asked for a credit, as I was never told about this charge and the room was paid for in advance. I was told I was given a credit. The charge however was put on my credit card anyway. I called the Choice Priviledge and was told the hotel would have to resolve this issue. They did, and I was finally given the credit. This was supposed to be a new management for this particular Comfort Inn, but we will not be staying there again. They have quite abit to learn about Customer service
Room Tip: request a first floor room with the hotel directly if you need one.
