The Good:
• Kids loved it (toddler and preschooler aged). I would argue if you had them at home with their friends for 3 days straight, went to parks and shared meals you would get the same experience. It was more about having fun than where we were.
• Cabins were super clean. We had a Rustic cabin and one of our friends had a Deluxe. If only to avoid the public showers and bathrooms I would suggest renting a Deluxe. We were #235 I think. Our friends were in the 250's, I think.
• We had a fridge!
• We made great use of the grill and fire pit.
• The splash pool for the kids was a hit
• The Polar Caves in nearby Rumney, NH were AWESOME.
The Mediocre:
• All of the facilities. This place is Old. I get the feeling people have been coming here for a while and it's nostalgic for them.
• The staff driving by in gas powered (stinky) golf carts. While it was good they were keeping an eye on things/leading people to their cabins, it was like living on a busy street. Also, guests could rent golf carts, so that increased the traffic. We had to yell "car!" at the kids all weekend.
• We were in cabins that had street noise. Not ideal, but I think the layout of the whole place kind of sucks for feeling like you are "getting away".
• We didn't take advantage of many of the activities, we just ended up spending time together. My husband did rent a canoe with another dad we were with. I think they had a good time.
• Pool water very cloudy.
The Bad:
• We had a cabin right where one of the tent camping areas begins. That's where all the dogs are. Dogs left by themselves to bark all day.
• The tent camping areas tended to get loud late into the night. Tuck yourself well into the cabin areas to avoid that.
• Showers were questionable, even though I saw the attendants go to clean the restrooms/showers. Other people's hair everywhere, etc.
• The place was packed. In some places I wondered why people paid to park their RV in what was essentially a median between two streets in the park. I really didn't understand this whole place and why you would pay to come here.
• the website is not at all complete and the resort map doesn't give cabin/space numbers so you have no idea where you are booking. We were near the roundabout next to Route 132 http://www.abcamping.com/jellystonenh/NH_map/www/index.html (yellow blue and green dots are tent camping sites)
