We normally stay at the Holiday Inn in Alliance but decided to try the Day's Inn because of the price difference...almost $40 per night. The room is a little larger than the Holiday Inn's, the breakfast comparable, both have refrigerators, microwaves and coffee makers in the room. The Day's Inn had a very nice HD TV and their wireless was flawless. Our room had a small table for eating with two chairs, a desk, a recliner chair, and a dresser. Obviously a closet...even a safe. They also have an area where you can use their computers. I needed to print boarding passes and they were very helpful. The rooms were exceptionally clean. The linens were thin but they served their purpose. The heating worked just fine once I figured out how to control it. Turn it on high heat fan first and then lower it. The staff was friendly and helpful. When in Alliance, be sure to eat at the Country Club. They let out-of-town visitors use their club. We also ate at AYO Mexican restaurant and thought it was quite decent. The people in Alliance are among the friendliest you will find anywhere. They have a great sense of humor...witness Carhenge and the RestStop (further north on the road to Carhenge). We go because my Mom is at Highland Park Care Center so the entire family goes often. We will definitely stay at the Day's Inn in the future unless their prices match the Holiday Inn. Then we would stay at the Holiday Inn. It is a little quieter, the linens nicer and feels a bit more solid. But for $40 a night, not worth the difference.
