“Not too bad for the money”

The hotel was mostly clean but had very worn furniture and carpets. They let people smoke in the rooms and the hallways smelled like it. The room was clean, if dated and the bathroom tub, toilet could definitely use replacement as they too show their years of use.

The pool was drained and the pool area had multiple broken windows. Oh yeah... the sign wasn't even on the pole outside. So if you are tight for money and only spending one night... an okay place.

“Avoid staying in Alliance if possible.”

We checked prices at the Holiday Inn and were shocked so we elected to stay at the Days Inn. They were in the process of taking down the Days Inn signs and I feel it is because they probably did meet the chain standards. The room did have a nice flat screen TV, a refrig, and a microwave but the room needed a through cleaning. The box spring had a large hole in the side and the sheets were thread bare. I assume that the linen had been changed after the last guest stayed there but I would not bet on it. I will avoid staying at Alliance in the future as I was very disappointed.

“Overpriced & under construction”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 March 2011

Front desk help was ok but housekeeping not so much. The room did not meet our expectations. The sink was plugged & the toilet didnt flush right. We booked this room because of there pet policy & amenities 2 months ahead of time. When we got there, the pool was closed for reconstruction. There were washing machines & dryers out front in the parking lot. We reserved a king bed but they messed up & didnt have 1 available so we had 2 get 2 queens. There are no elevators, either. For this place, I would say the breakfast was above average. Overall, I would not recomend this hotel as is. Maybe after they finish reconstruction it will be better.

“Stay somewhere else”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 January 2011

The shower and toilet were nasty like noone ever cleans it. They did give me some cleaner and a rag to wipe it down. The upside was the tv was nice and the room had a coffee maker, fridge, and a microwave.

“Excellent bargain”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 November 2009

We normally stay at the Holiday Inn in Alliance but decided to try the Day's Inn because of the price difference...almost $40 per night. The room is a little larger than the Holiday Inn's, the breakfast comparable, both have refrigerators, microwaves and coffee makers in the room. The Day's Inn had a very nice HD TV and their wireless was flawless. Our room had a small table for eating with two chairs, a desk, a recliner chair, and a dresser. Obviously a closet...even a safe. They also have an area where you can use their computers. I needed to print boarding passes and they were very helpful. The rooms were exceptionally clean. The linens were thin but they served their purpose. The heating worked just fine once I figured out how to control it. Turn it on high heat fan first and then lower it. The staff was friendly and helpful. When in Alliance, be sure to eat at the Country Club. They let out-of-town visitors use their club. We also ate at AYO Mexican restaurant and thought it was quite decent. The people in Alliance are among the friendliest you will find anywhere. They have a great sense of humor...witness Carhenge and the RestStop (further north on the road to Carhenge). We go because my Mom is at Highland Park Care Center so the entire family goes often. We will definitely stay at the Day's Inn in the future unless their prices match the Holiday Inn. Then we would stay at the Holiday Inn. It is a little quieter, the linens nicer and feels a bit more solid. But for $40 a night, not worth the difference.
