I am not a big fan of motels with interior entrances to the rooms, so this might have influenced my overall impression.

The staff was very nice and they offer some coupons upon arrival for discounts in town, which is nice. Get the one for the "Secret coffeehouse", which you would never know about without the coupon.

It was hard to open the door with the key. The light over the bed worked only intermittently. The bedding and towels were worn and thin. The pillows were thin and there were not enough.

They let us use the microwave in the breakfast room to warm up some leftovers, which was nice. Breakfast was basic.

The location is on the edge of town, which is OK, but there is a lot of street noise.

I am not sure there are a lot of other alternatives and the price was right.

Old hotel but, clean, well-kept and has a great staff.
