“Awesome B&B”

My husband and I booked reservations for a Valentine's Day dinner nearby at Montelle and then I looked for nearby overnight accommodations. We stayed in the Rose room that had heated tile flooring in the bathroom and a large air-jetted clawfoot tub. There were 2 rooms upstairs and 2 rooms on the main floor. There is a BEAUTIFUL sunroom/living room with a 2 sided stone fireplace. Debbie and Bill are very gracious hosts and the breakfast was superb. I was extremely comfortable there were I haven't been comfortable at other B&Bs. They had some wine and soft drinks for guests and fresh hot baked bread and cookies upon our arrival. It was very convenient to the nearby wineries.

“Very, very relaxing weekend”

Debbie and Bill are very nice people. They are very knowledgeable about the town and surrounding areas. Their house is beautiful. My spouse and I really enjoyed the indoor fireplace, it is cozy and relaxing. The breakfasts were wonderful and very filling, you could almost skip lunch. The hot tub was great since the temperature was around 30F for the time we were there. We are definitely looking forward to returning.

“The Lindenhof is a romantic step back in time.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 November 2010

If you are staying in Augusta, the Lindenhof is an excellent choice. The house and grounds are beautiful, the breakfast is phenominal and the people are fantastic. Make sure to stop by Augusta Wood and Bella's Cafe. Since most things close by 8 or 9 a late night dip in the hot tub or book by the fire are the perfect way to end the day.

“A happy and relaxing place to renew my spirit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 November 2010

I stayed at the Lindenhof B&B with a few friends for a weekend getaway. Augusta is an easy drive from St. Louis, but far enough out that you feel like you’re in the country. The Inn was the perfect setting for our reunion. The bedrooms were large and beautifully decorated with very comfortable beds. The private bathrooms were very nice with large claw foot tubs. Everything was exceptionally clean and the linens were wonderfully fragranced. The large dining room and hearth room with a huge fireplace were the perfect place for us girls to gather, talk and have some wine and coffee. There was plenty of space to spread out and relax. The outdoor patio and fireplace and hot tub gave us additional areas to hang out. The hot tub was a welcome site after we had hiked in nearby Klondike Park and on the Katy Trail. Debbie and Bill Schaefer were excellent hosts. They were so welcoming and helped us settle in and described various activities in the area. There was hiking and biking trails, historical Daniel Boone Village, many wineries, antique shops and restaurants. Plenty to keep us girls busy. The breakfast that Debbie served us in the morning was sinfully good; fresh orange juice, stuffed waffles, bacon, dilled eggs, bisquits, coffee and tea. I loved waking up to that wonderful coffee aroma. Now I need another hike. I will definitely come back to stay at the Lindenhof with friends or for a romantic weekend. I want to get my bicycle tuned up and come back to take a ride on the Katy Trail, jump in the hot tub and spend the night at the Inn with a nice glass of wine and a book. What a great way to rejuvenate the spirit.
