Staying at the Down Over was a wonderful experience. The owners where awesome, it was almost like visiting family. They were a fountain of knowledge about their historic town. Not only did I feel like I had walked back into time at the local general store but also so welcome at The Down Over. I am going to mention I was there for a play, staring Kathryn Merry, who shined and held here own against other more seasoned actors. If you are planing a trip to Arrow Rock the Down Over takes the cake!!!! Also there was a tandem bike we could use to get a better look at the town, truly a historic adventure.

One of the best-kept secrets in Missouri is the little Missouri River town of Arrow Rock. Not as well known as Hermann or Rocheport, it's the home of the Lyceum Theatre, Missouri's oldest professional regional theatre. Over the years we've visited Arrow Rock, we've made a tradition of staying at the Down Over B&B. It had been two years since we stayed there and in that time, it had changed hands. Our new hosts Larry and Paula made us feel right at home. They have an obvious love for what they are doing and I think we'd say that they are our favorites of the fine folks who have owned the Down Over.
