Nice hotel, clean small bathroom. Staff very nice, happy hour in the evening with free cocktails and a breakfast buffet in the morning to get you started. Close to the highway and places to go for dinner.

Overall, an OK stay at a mid-range hotel property. Stayed 3 nights. Here are some thoughts/comments:

Lobby/breakfast area smelled of cigarette smoke (I believe some smoking rooms are on the 1st floor, so smoke likely drifted down the hall to lobby).

Better than average continental breakfast for mid-range hotel. Orange
and apple juice machine was not operational for the 3 days we stayed.
It seemed very hard for the staff to grasp the concept that they could
just fill several pitchers with OJ and leave them out by the machine.
Instead, only one small pitcher would be dropped off and it would be quickly emptied by parched guests within minutes. A refill on the pitcher took about 30 minutes. Made for a disappointing breakfast -- especially with kids.

Very small bathrooms.

Heat/AC unit was a window unit that worked well and was controlled by a wall-mounted thermostat. Also, the unit had the ability to run the fan while not heating/cooling, thus providing good "white noise" during the night.

Quiet rooms, likely due to older/sturdier construction materials vs. newer hotels with thin walls.

Staff was helpful and responsive (other than the OJ fiasco).

So, it is an OK property that would get a much higher rating if they went non-smoking throughout the hotel.

I stayed here for 1 evening while traveling from Nebraska to Florida. The check in was very quick and painless! The clerk was very friendly and helpful. So far the room seems clean, although the bathroom is indeed quite small. The hotel is quiet and is well lite around the parking lot... also easy access from I-55. There is a Denny's right next door if that interests you. They do offer free soft drinks, free 1 hour long distance and free wireless internet, so I really can't complain as of yet! This is the 2nd time I've stayed in a Drury Inn and have liked both experiences ... so far that is! They are also a pet-friendly hotel, which is VERY nice as I travel with pets!! They don't even make you stay in a stinky smoking room or charge you extra for the pets!!! My charge, with AAA is only $53!! Nice value for an evenings rest!

Stayed at the Drury Inn Arnold, MO during our recent trip to St. Louis. It was far enough out of the city to be reasonable price-wise plus it was close to family. The positives: the breakfast was very good, pool area was nice, felt very secure, staff very friendly and helpful, very quiet, convenient to all St. Louis area attractions. The negatives: bathroom was TINY, showerhead was way too low, beds were small and very uncomfortable, entire motel had a strange smell about it, could have been cleaner, but it is an older hotel so that can be understandable. Overall, it was a fairly decent hotel and for the price probably can't be beat.
