I've stayed there a handful of times over the years. It has been remodeled in recent years and looks very nice, inside and out. The bar, Torge's, is the hot spot of town, I hear.

The room, carpeting, bedding, furniture, and bathroom were all clean. I stayed on the west side of the hotel, which is maybe 75 feet away from the parking lot (big grassy yard on the west side of the hotel). Didn't hear a lot of traffic noise--very quiet.

Used the workout room. Treadmills were new and of health club quality--heavy duty.

There's a bistro near the check-in desk to get a freshly made sandwich and some pop or beer. There are several restaurants nearby, including a grocery store deli (Hy-Vee).

I would think that this is the nicest hotel in Austin. I haven't stayed at the others, though. I visited a coworker at the AmericInn, and she had no complaints there, either.

There aren't a lot of options down this way but this hotel is easy to get to and has a good bar attached which is nice after a long day of travel so you don't have to get back in the car. The hotel is a typical hotel/motel type withe the small pool in the interior courtyard. If you aren't into using the pool, ask for an exterior facing room so you don't have to smell the chlorine or hear any kids swimming.
The beds were comfortable and the blankets were covered with a top sheet for a more luxurious and clean feeling experience. There is a small coffee shop in the lobby for small bites and snacks.
There are a few family restaurants nearby if you are staying for more than one night.

Nice hotel, convenient to most local attractions and things to do in Austin, Minnesota. Mediocre value for the money.

Everytime we come to Austin we would always stay at the Holiday Inn, but not anymore. The last two times were horrible. There was mold on the walls, the hotel was torn apart, the staff was obnoxious and you can hear the music from the bar all night.
