“WORST HOTEL EVER”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 December 2011

Well, Where to start!!! This was by far the worst hotel ever. I recommend to anyone to keep on driving and not to even think about staying at this hotel or even to give business to Eric (hotel Manager).
We made reservations with this hotel because of a bachelor/bachelorette party. The group was staying here so thats the only reason we stayed here! We were supposed to be in a block but all the rooms were spread out and the hotel was not even in the slightest busy! Upon making reservations, everyone got the run around because one second they were full and the next they weren't.

Our checkin- We reserved a room with 2 queen beds, so you would assume it sleeps four, right? Guess again, They charge extra. It was $10.00 per person after 2. After paying, they had each guest sign these ridiculous contracts. We paid it, signed them and moved on. They gave us our room keys and we went up to our room to find out it was not even cleaned yet!!! Back down we go.
They apologized and gave us a different room. When we opened the door, our first view was the curtains falling off the wall. Kinda tacky but whatever. We informed the front desk so we would not be charged and they apologized once again. We got all our stuff in and started to set up. My fiance checked out the bedding and realized both beds had large urine stains on them and that the blankets were not even washed!!!! This was nasty, what hotel (besides this one, does this). My fiance brought the blankets down to the front desk and once again, they apologized!!!
My sister and I opened the frig and found mold. Good thing we had a cooler since the hotel doesn't know how to clean or keep things clean.
Our room was not vacuumed, there were beer bottle caps and pills on the floor and used tissues under the bed!! Horrible, absolutely disgusting!!! We have a 5 year old and would have been scared to keep her in the room.
Most of all, the topping on the cake, we found a porn magazine in the dresser drawer!!!! If you did clean, wouldn't you check them? Not this hotel!!!
The pools had scum around the edges, mostlikely from not being clean.
Upon checkout, my fiance told the front desk clerk that this was our worst hotel experience ever!!!! Ten minutes down the road, we got a voicemail stating they would like to fix this problem and resolve this matter.
Its been over a month of dealing with ERIC, the hotel manager, and he has refused to return our phone calls. We asked to be credited the $96.00 we paid to stay in a nasty hotel and yet he has credited us. Horrible customer service!!!!

Not only was our room nasty, two of our friends rooms had spiders in them, not small spiders but large ones and unchanged bedsheets and dirty floors as well!!!

Continental breakfast was a joke, EVERYTHING is frozen or STALE!!! Nothing fresh or even cold. Milk and juice- Warm!!!

You know, we signed these contracts and held up our end but they can't even make good on their end. No business out there today should be in business with this kind of ethics!!!

If you are a family, do not check into this hotel. Rooms are unsafe to small children, they are unsanitary and customer service is absolutely horrible starting with the hotel manager, ERIC!!!

Filed a report with the Better Business Bureau and Ripoffreport.com, all because ERIC would not try to make HIS hotel Stay in Semi-Good standings. Tells you what kind of person he is, a money-hungry greedy person!!!!
If you work for him, I would find a new boss!!!!!

I apologize profusely for your unhappy stay.
I understand that five rooms were set aside for a Bachelor/Bachelorette party under the name of Lori Dregger. The group rate was decided as $80.10 for 2 adults per room and extra charge of $10 per adult. It is worth mentioning that the room rate for a standard room with two queen sized beds was $99 + tax that night, therefore discount of 18.72 % was already given.
We had charged $10 for extra 2 adults in your room and thereby the room rent was $90 + tax. That was another $10 discount.
It is hotel policy to make guests sign the "Damage and No-tolerance Policy ( disruptive behavior)" and hence you were made to sign that. This is a standard hotel policy.
We have a very few smoking rooms in our hotel and hence the group members who asked for smoking room were sectioned off from the non-smokers.
Also, we had requests for rooms on main or second floor, near to pool and near to exit and we complied by the requests made of all our guests.
We apologize for the switching of rooms as we were understaffed that day and had 70 % occupancy that night.
Eric called up several times and tried to resolve the problem by giving free night stay at any one of the12 hotels( AmericInn, Best Western, Super 8, Travelodge) in and near twin cities location and 50% refund.
We have no spiders in our hotel, also Juices and Milk are always maintained at a definite temperature and they were at the required temperature that morning. There was no violation of health or any safety laws.
Once again we apologize for the inconvenience and wish to give a free night gift certificate and 50% refund.

When I checked in the individual working at the front desk was very helpful. I had an important meeting the next morning and I was unclear as to where the facility was. The front desk wrote directions for me and gave me the hotel's phone number to call in case I got lost. The rooms were clean and quiet, the pool was nice and the breakfast was okay

Our stay was great .... the employee behind the desk was always smiling and very helpful. The hotel looks great; very clean. Our kids enjoyed the books available for them to read, bust most of all they loved the pool! Lots of breakfast items to pick from as well.

Room Tip: Our family of 6 was able to stay in one room with 2 beds and a pullout couch, we loved it!

I am a regular guest of the hotel, hotel staff is polite and cooperative, they go out of the way to help the guests. The rooms are nice and pool, hot tub and sauna are very relaxing.
I would reccomend this hotel to all travelers in vicinity of St. Cloud .
Great Location and ok breakfast.

Room Tip: Ask for a odd numbered room, that is away from Highway side.

“Very disappointed in this franchise of Country Inn & Suites in Albany, MN”

If you're in this area of Minnesota and need somewhere to stay, it would be OK. Not superb by any standards. The hotel staff were all very grumpy, if you could find them. The desk man spent more time outside smoking than anything else. We were there for a family wedding nearby and other family members said the housekeeping only changed out the towels, didn't make the bed or vacuum. We kept the DND sign on the door during the day we were out so as not to have them bother with our room. The rooms were decent sized but the beds, sheets, and pillows were horrible and being right off of the interstate, it wasn't that great of a night's sleep, even after a long day at a wedding/reception/dance. The breakfast was OK - cereal, waffles, bread, and you could heat up a sausage patty/cheese if you wanted. The pool was heated which was nice but the whirlpool was barely warm and the sauna was out of order. The ice machine was broken and the hotel staff didn't go out of their way by any means in assisting guests to get ice or having ice available. The best part about the stay in the small town was that there was a nice home town restaurant/bar (good meal great price) and liquor store right next door!
