Having read the comments here, I was quite worried that I would arrive at a dump. When I walked in here, the front desk lady tried her best to please me in every way she could. When I walked in to the room, I was worried that my picky wife would "eeeewwww" the beds, the sheets, the bathroom, and the carpet. Guess what, she DIDN'T! Although the furniture is a tiny bit worn out and torn out, I find it quite comfortable. There is a small kitchen with microwave, stove, fridge and sink. There is also a CRT TV (hey, can't expect a 3D LED at this price range!), 2 queen size beds, a desk, and an oversized bathroom. Therefore, I'd say this motel-look hotel is generally quite nice but with a few things that are frowned upon.
Thumbs up:
1. Cleanliness
2. Quietness
3. Friendliness of staff
4. Oversized bathroom
5. Quietness of surroundings and air conditioner
6. Availability of an en-suite small kitchen with stove and fridge
Thumbs down:
1. Wi-Fi Internet connection costs me $4.99 (guess they changed their free Internet policy after the last reviewer's visit). Extremely atypical of a 2 or 2.5-star hotel.
2. No complimentary breakfast
3. Furniture just a tiny bit worn out - nothing major though
4. Room access card (punch card, not with magnetic strip) a bit tricky to use
5. Situated on a street with warehouses and factories, a bit scary to us at first.
6. Just two bars of soap in the bathroom, not even shampoo and conditioner.
