“Both Unpleasantly and Pleasantly Surprised”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 February 2011

person found this review helpful

Having read the comments here, I was quite worried that I would arrive at a dump. When I walked in here, the front desk lady tried her best to please me in every way she could. When I walked in to the room, I was worried that my picky wife would "eeeewwww" the beds, the sheets, the bathroom, and the carpet. Guess what, she DIDN'T! Although the furniture is a tiny bit worn out and torn out, I find it quite comfortable. There is a small kitchen with microwave, stove, fridge and sink. There is also a CRT TV (hey, can't expect a 3D LED at this price range!), 2 queen size beds, a desk, and an oversized bathroom. Therefore, I'd say this motel-look hotel is generally quite nice but with a few things that are frowned upon.

Thumbs up:

1. Cleanliness
2. Quietness
3. Friendliness of staff
4. Oversized bathroom
5. Quietness of surroundings and air conditioner
6. Availability of an en-suite small kitchen with stove and fridge

Thumbs down:

1. Wi-Fi Internet connection costs me $4.99 (guess they changed their free Internet policy after the last reviewer's visit). Extremely atypical of a 2 or 2.5-star hotel.
2. No complimentary breakfast
3. Furniture just a tiny bit worn out - nothing major though
4. Room access card (punch card, not with magnetic strip) a bit tricky to use
5. Situated on a street with warehouses and factories, a bit scary to us at first.
6. Just two bars of soap in the bathroom, not even shampoo and conditioner.

“Wonderful Motel Experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 September 2010

Easy check in with convenient cart for luggage, and elevator to carry us to our floor. Our room was spacious and clean with a complete kitchen that we were not expecting. We didn't have time to use the television or wifi but it was nice to have the availability of those amenities. The beds were the best I've ever slept on during a motel stay, very comfortable. Check out was also very easy, plenty of parking and was able to load our luggage conveniently near the office.

“Great value ~”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 August 2010

I was looking to surprise my fiance who was working over there this summer, needed, a good value, clean and safe. I found it here- We had a problem w/ the bathroom and were just moved to another room immediately. It's no frills but every thing worked we had a mini suite, w/ a queen size bed, all the pillows and towels we needed. It was quiet inside and out. Clean inside and out as well- Will stay here again and look for other properties when travel ! Thanks

“Total DUMP”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 April 2009

DO NOT STAT HERE! I had the unfortunate luck of my company pre-paying for a week's stay for me at this "hotel". So bad that I even left early on my last night & paid for another hotel on my own dime. Filthy rooms / uncomfortable beds / dirty bathrooms / stained carpets & walls. They don't even clean your rooms unless you request & "schedule" a cleaning multiple times & pay extra. Rude front desk staff is never even at the front desk. The place is more like a flop house. Vending machines didn't even work & that's your only source of food on site!. The TV wasn't working either & when I asked on my first night why I couldn't get any local channels to come in I was told "everyone at the hotel is having the same problem". Four days later it was still not working! Checking into the Hyatt PLace across the street was like walking into the Ritz Carlton! (& the huge plasma TV there got local channels just fine) I understand saving costs but this place was just ridiculous. Sleep in your car instead
