Let's just say the good things about this hotel were the comfortable mattresses & plenty of pillows and its proximity to I-75. Those are the only two things I can think of.
This property is OLD. Looks okay from the street, but the interior is in dire need of complete renovation job.
Pregnant lady who checked us in had on a dingy white maternity top and tatoo across her wrist; we interupted a personal phone call to check in at 9pm. Lobby area is dark, not inviting. Decor is very late 60's or 70's.....
Our room was 308, top floor as requested upon check-in. We left a wake-up call for 3:00am and got it right on time.
The room? Needed vacuuming AND DUSTING. Furniture old, tired looking. No really nice toiletries.
Duvet on my queen bed was threadbare in places and soiled/stained in others. Sheets seemed okay. I did sleep quite well on the firm mattress.
The bathroom? DARK. Houskeeping very poor! Shower difficult to turn on and when I looked up the last person's half used bottle of shampoo was on the ledge!!!!! ALSO: NOTE: NO TOWELS OR WASH CLOTHS HAD BEEN LEFT IN OUR ROOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My husband had to go down to the lobby and get them and then the bath mat was left out!
The sink counter top would have been great if you were under 5 feet tall. I am 5'6" and my husband 5'11" and it was very awkard for him to shave and for brushing teeth.
The room rate was $80.99 and the TAX was $17.00!!!!!! So, $97 + change for this old, tired room.
Next time we are in the area we will return to the Hilton, another old property, but NICER and cheaper also! Lots of hotels in this area: Hyatt Place, Crowne Plaza, Hampton Inn, Staybridge Suites. Stay at ANY of them except this poor, tired hotel.
