We recently spent one night at this Courtyard. We were attending an event at the Palace of Auburn Hills, and this location was very convenient. It is located only about 4 or 5 miles from the Palace, and you can get to the Palace without getting back on I-75.
This is your basic Courtyard. It was very clean. The lobby was bright and cheerful with its odd combination of colors. Lots of seating for groups or couples or individuals. Fire going in the fireplace. One computer in business center, they really need two, at least. There is a small market to buy candy, pop, snacks. The breakfast area looks very nice, but we didn't partake. Great exercise room! Several pieces of new or almost new equipment. Small indoor pool. Large parking lot. Check-in was prompt and courteous, helpful with directions. Check-out the same. Tim Horton's adjacent.
Our room was a third floor king room. Bathroom is to the left of the door. Sink outside of bathroom. Nice counters. Hair dryer. Opposite is a good storage area for luggage (a cabinet with doors). The counter here has the ice bucket/glasses and coffee pot. Bathroom is very large, excellent shower head, pressure and towels are of a good quality.
King bed is awesome. Very comfortable. Pillows-well, 5 of them, that is great-most were of down material-but were not very good. Linens are good as well as the blanket. Two small nightstands on each side of bed, one with phone and one with alarm clock. Each has a small drawer and an open space beneath. Two reading lights.
Nice, two seat loveseat/couch, which is also a pullout bed. Comfortable to sit on. Small coffee table. Large desk with a phone. Lamp with plugs. Rolling desk chair. Table pushed under desk, that can be pulled out for more desk space. 3 drawer dresser with flat screen TV on top. Nice size closet with several hangars, iron/board. All furniture matches and in good condition. Nice artwork considering, as well as the color scheme. Balcony doors open, but are old. They need replacing. Balcony is old and not really usable, though you can step outside on it, no room for chairs (if they even have them in season), and certainly cannot see over the cement balcony wall if you are able to sit. Drapes were nice, good black-out drapes in addition to sheers.
Everything worked-locks, plugs, lights, phone, TV, TV remote, hair dryer, coffee pot, water pressure, heater (it is a very finicky thermostat).
I would request a 3rd floor room (there are elevators) in the back of the hotel for quiet.
