The Regent is a relaunch of another hotel - it's not as spanking new as the website makes it sound - but it's perfectly good. Nice open layout, clean rooms, a little (very little) swimming pool and hot tub, small fitness room (3-4 cardio machines), a games area (pool, table football), and decent free wifi. The reception was generally helpful. The only proviso: breakfast leaves plenty to be desired, and is removed, rather militantly, on the dot of closing time.

Thank you for taking the time to write such a nice review highlighting the hotel amenities, we hope you had time to enjoy them! You are correct...nothing to worry about here. The Ann Arbor Regent is the newest hotel in the Ann Arbor area and our staff is wonderful. While our breakfast is open from 6:30am - 10am we do ask anyone in the breakfast area if they would like anything else before it closes. Thank you again for taking the time to tell us about your stay and please stay with us again when you visit Ann Arbor.

“Good Cheap Room”

I had stayed here years ago when it was a cheap ole Quality Inn - and although it has a new name and coat of paint, it is still a good cheap ole Quality Inn - rooms simple and small - but clean and not fussy - I could wear my work clothes in and not feel like I was out of place. No frills - no fancy people staying here - Staff friendly - buffet was nice - will stay there again - although ask for a room away from the street, because the highway is only 100 feet away and it was a lot of rumble noise at night - - plus there is a Bob Evans next door - and a Red Lobster across the road -( I love their shrimp special ) -

Room Tip: Get a room in the BACK - the highway is only 100 feet from the Front - real noisy -

Thank you for taking the time to write a review about the Ann Arbor Regent Hotel. The Ann Arbor Regent Hotel went through a multimillion dollar renovation which included all new rooms, new indoor pool and whirlpool, new billiards area and so much more. We are glad to hear you had a nice stay and enjoyed the low price. As we like to say "The Perfect Hotel at the Perfect Price"!

Also just a side note, all of our guest rooms are in the back of the hotel away from Carpenter Rd and the highway which allows all of our guests to enjoy a quiet stay with us.

“Very Clean, Friendly Hotel. Close to Mott Childrens Hospital”

My daughter has had to go to Mott Childrens Hospital several times this year. When we can't stay at the Med-Inn right at the hospital, we always ask for the Med-Inn staff to make a reservation at the Regent for us. It is an inexpensive way to stay at a very nice hotel. The staff is always very friendly, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. My daughter wanted to go swimming after getting her cast off at the Mott childrens hospital, and the whirlpool and pool at the Regent were just what the doctor ordered (so to speak). If we have to go back to Mott again, I will definitely stay at the Regent.

In the past couple months, my husband and I stayEd here twice, once overnight a and then for 3 nights. I had appointments at U of M, and after a 4.5 hour drive, it was wonderful to find this oasis of a hotel! The staff was superb and even remembered us. After a hurry up and wait day at the hospital, it was so nice to be able to come "home" and just relax. My husband and I agree that the rating for this hotel is way off the mark instead of 2.5 stars we think it should at least be 4. A special shout out to RACHEL (the evening front desk angel, and ROSA (the early morning breakfast fairy. You ladies are awesome!!!
Now to the bare bones: very clean, lovely room. Beds are wonderful. Shower has lots of power. pool area is very nice hot tub was very relaxing. Breakfast was very nice (ie variety). From the fountain out front to the quiet, quiet room, this place is exceptional.

The hotel was a great value. Priced right. Very clean. Hot breakfast. And friendly staff. This hotel is on my list for any trip to Ann Arbor.
