“Funky smell”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 January 2012

We stayed at this hotel because there wasnt any hotels available closer to the Michigan Int'l speedway race. The highway splits and the hotel is located in the middle of a highway.
It's dangerous pulling in and out this hotel, we were almost rear ended pulling into the parking lot!
The restaurant/bar area has a foul "sewer" smell to it and we immediately lost our appetite!
We awoke early 6am, and was surprised to find out the breakfast bar wasnt open and couldnt even get a cup of coffee, instead of the in-room "not so good" coffee.
Also, the parking lot is always full because of the "party center" located inside the hotel. SO be prepared to park far from the hotel entrance.
Would definetely would NOT stay here again.

“Very disapointing”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 January 2012

We arrived at Webers on a Friday night for a youth hockey tournament. The front desk staff was friendly and accomodating upon check in but the stay went down hill from there. The rooms were small and somewhat dirty with very loud individual heating / AC units. The room temperature was difficult to regulate and we were unable to adjust the temperature below 75 degrees which made for uncomfortable sleeping conditions. The bathroom was so smallI and cramped I though I was traveling in is a cheap hotel in Europe. There were multiple youth hockey teams staying at the hotel so there was alot of activity in the hotel, hallways, and pool. For the most part the kids were very well behaved. Most simple requests made to the hotel designed to entertain the kids in a team friendly and constructive way were met with "no" answers. The pool was so over chlorinated that all but one child on the team developed a bad rash. Restraunt staff was also unfriendly. I do not recomend this hotel if you are traveling with teams or children.

“Tilted a little to the older crowd”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 January 2012

We stayed here for 2 nights with a large group for a hockey tournament. Check in was very quick and the staff was very pleasant. A little disappointed in paying a group rate of $120 per night for 2 double beds, in a rather small room. For 2 adults and one teen, it was tight, and the teen had to sleep on the floor as we didn't want to pay another $20 for a rollaway. Everything was clean, it had a large flat screen tv with lots of channels. Attached restaurant menu seemed a little skewed toward the old style steak house kind of place, higher prices and items, though we didn't eat there so I can't say anything more than that. We did have breakfast in the coffee bar which was cheap and okay, nothing truly notable about it. There is an indoor pool and jacuzzi, and a game room that kept the teen very happy. Not at all an unpleasant stay, but if we were on our own instead of with a large group we would not stay here, but rather at someplace that included a breakfast with the room for less money.

Room Tip: There are rooms located right by the pool, so if you want quiet don't choose those.

“A fun place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 November 2011

Weber's has been in Ann Arbor for many years. From some of their pictures on the walls, it's no doubt been around for over half a century. A little on the pricy side. Our room was one that had a staircase from our little patio that faced an inside common area with pool and table games and table and chairs, and a hot tub. However, we couldn't enjoy the hottub as we would have liked with several small children jumping into it and trying to swim while their parents set by and didn't say a word to them. The staff didn't either see the kids or just turned a blind eye to their behavior. The restaurant was very nice and the music was enjoyable. The food was very good. Would we go back? Probably not. But it was unique and we did enjoy that about it. We celebrated my husband's birthday and he did get his dinner for free which was really nice of them. The desserts are to die for!.

Room Tip: if solitude is what you are after, then ask for a room away from the pool area.

“One of the best "non-chain" hotels ever!”

The rooms may not be the largest nor the bathrooms that fanciest but everything is very clean and functional and comfortable and the service is great. The renovations are very nice. And the restaurant is very good. Good location, easy access and plenty of parking.

Room Tip: Some rooms are adjacent to the indoor pool. Your preference will dicate if that is good or bad.
