“You have to stay here! Truly a welcoming home”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 January 2012

Even though I am a seasoned traveler, I booked this B&B without doing any research because my company's regular hotels were sold out and I just needed a place and fast. Imagine my surprise when, after arriving past midnight on a long flight, I let myself in and find signs directing me to my spacious suite. Even more wonderful were the dark chocolates and other goodies awaiting me. The proprietors are unbelieveably welcoming - I haven't met them yet but already feel so at home. Not only did they leave me a letter with a personal greeting, everything was fully explained in it so I could just help myself to what I needed - for example, getting online to write this review;) I can't believe my good luck! I hope you enjoy your stay here as much as I am.

Room Tip: I stayed in the Freedom Trail - King bed, ensuite bath and balcony on the second floor. I think all...

“We keep returning to this delightful Inn”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 September 2011

Our daughter is a 2nd year PHD student at U Mich. The Inn was recommended by a friend prior to our first trip to Ann Arbor, so we decided to try the Inn. It is a wonderful place to stay. The location is ideal. We keep going back.

Our daughter even stayed for several days while in between apartments this past September ('11). Bob and Pat are delightful. On our first visit, our room was on the first floor. The room was great, but everyone enters the Inn on the first floor, so I found myself waking up every time some one came in during the night. After that time, I always take a room on the second floor.

Breakfast is delicious. I like being able to return during the day and help myself to water or cookies. Pat has even given me a ride to the Y when I want to go for a swim. By the way the Ann Arbor Y is fantastic. The Inn is always filled with interesting guests. After a long day of running around Ann Arbor, we have even had takeout delivered and eaten in the dining area.

Room Tip: I would not stay on the ground floor because if you are a light sleeper you will hear the door open...

“We loved it and we're coming back in 3 weeks”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 September 2011

We've been coming to Ann Arbor for years for football weekends and have always stayed at the Campus Inn or at the Kennsington Court in a pinch. This year with our son starting his freshman year, we followed in the footsteps of my cousins who always stay here to visit their son. I'm so glad we did. It is eclectic and whimsically decorated. It's not your twee bed and breakfast. Our room was decorated with stuffed bears and there are collections of stuff everywhere in the inn. I don't love that part but it didn't bother me either. I loved having space and a balcony to sit on. I loved coming down to breakfast in the morning and having coffee, fruit, yogurt sitting on the porch. I loved the feeling of space and the fact there was free soda and water in the fridge downstairs. If you're visiting your kid in college or going for a football weekend, you're not really looking for the swanky hotel experience. You want someplace really comfortable that you can go back to and chill out. And that's exactly what this was. Plus unbeatable location. To me the toss up would be between this and campus inn, but I like the casual less hotel like atmosphere. Go Blue!!!

“Great Location; Disappointing Otherwise”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 August 2011

Ann Arbor Bed and Breakfast is in a great location, but is a little too worn out. The innkeepers have a lovely antique toy collection in the house and we were attracted to their sense of whimsy. This building was once apartments or a motel as we had an outdoor entrance by the parking lot. Our room, including the bathroom, was a bit dirty. I did not want to walk in the bathroom, or into the shower, without wearing flip-flops. Breakfast was marginal at best, with cereal boxes out for self-service, dirty dishes in the sink, and what looked like an old quiche that our hostess offered to heat up. Overall, I would not recommend this bed and breakfast.

“Great place to stay in Ann Arbor - right by the Uni campus”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 August 2011

Stayed here in the Yellowstone room for a night on our way to Chicago. Perfect place to stay in Ann Arbor. Close to the main street and to the uni campus. Friendly and helpful people og a great breakfast.
