At first sight the picture in the ad made it look cozy. The reality is that it was far from cozy! The receptionist was helpful and has a pleasant personality. The hotel is quite run down and reminded me of an innercity south Chicago hotel I was forced to stay in once. Eww! The shower and toilet in my room was clean enough. The bedding was worn and the carpet was quite stained. There were sketchy people coming and going from the parking lot all night. The worst was a strange woman beating on my door waking me out of my much needed sleep at 6:30am! When I told her she had the wrong room she proceeded to the next and beat on the doors until she found who or whatever she was looking for. Breakfast was a sad and small selection. I stayed at this hotel because of price and proximity to the UofM hospital for a surgery my cousin was undergoing. It was recommended by a nurse?! Things that make you go Hmm. Will NOT ever stay there again and wished I would have gone elsewhere!
Also we needed a handicapped room and when we arrived they had none. The entire lower level of this hole in the wall is for people that reside there long term. It says no pets but we found some there, Just do yourself a favor and don't go!
