“poor service”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 October 2011

220 Bolivianos for an apparently nice and clean room...it was really nice but not clean: only perfumed. the carpet was full of dust. We stayed two nights and the room was not cleaned; when we asked for some clean towels they tried to give us dirty ones!!
breakfast is barely sufficient for the guests and it's not truly "a buffet" as they say.
We used their laundry service and they granted us our clothes would have been ready in the afternoon (...which afternoon?). we had to solicit them to have our clothes back at least the evening before leaving! Do read their quality policy...and laugh!
Value for money: poor!

“Good location but average service”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 May 2011

This hostal is in a good central location and even though in the middle of town it is reasonably quiet and the building is nice. The breakfast is in a lovely dining room. But after the perfume in the room wore off there was a terrible smell coming from the drain in the bathroom which was disgusting. Add to that the fact that I stayed two days and the room was not cleaned during the day for the second night which I would have expected for that price. It wasn't that clean either and some of the fittings were falling off the wall - I had to fix the curtain rail myself.

Very decent. Great location, a bit too noisy.

“Quite place on great location - just bad breakfast”

The location of the hostel is excellent. Really close to the plaza de armas, but because are around a courtyard, they are very quit. The beds are fine and you get a tv in your room. The badroom was okay, good have been a bit cleaner. We only went for the breakfast onces and where dissapointed. Very old bread and a soso egg. But the price is okay, so you can eat breakfast somewhere else.
Most of the staffmembers are very friendly. We only had a problem with one. Because they send a taxi to the airport to pick us up, but other people went with our taxi. So we got a taxi on our own and paid for it. At the end the girl expected us to pay for the other taxi aswell, wich we didn't. (By the way: the charge you 35 bolivianos for pick up from the airpot, while the taxi normally costs 25 bolivianos)

“Simple, lovely, center of town, most excellent staff”

Rooms at street are noisy so try to get into the court yard. Rooms are plain but have everything you need. Staff will make your stay comfortable and acomodate you in any way possible. Felt like being at home with family! The owner picked us up at the airport! Definitely recommend it.
