Best hotel in Sucre. Superb breakfast. Confortable beds.

The hotel is situated very close to the main square (2-300 meters) with all its attractions. The hotel is elegantly decorated with a fantastic view from the large sun deck. The rooms are very nice and well equipped with the best shower I have experienced and during chilly winter nights the heating works impeccably. The hotel breakfast which is included in the price is fantastic, served in an elegant dining room. The hotel also has a cellar which has been decorated with antique artifacts. There is a large reception room for bigger events. The reception is very anxious to help you with whatever problem you may have.The overall service level is very high. It felt like a second home to us. Highly recommended hotel/parador.

The Parador Santa Maria la Real is a beautiful hotel housed in a colonial era building in the centre of Sucre close to restaurant, bars and sites. The rooms are all individually designed, ours was large, stylish, light and very peaceful. The bed was very comfortable. For US$75 it was an absolute bargain.

The hotel has a great roof terrace to get a different perspective on Sucre, and to while away a couple of hours with a beer and good book. Breakfast was excellent - probably the best we had in Bolivia - and while some staff could be a little cool towards guests, the majority were friendly and professional.

No complaints at all and would recommend to anyone wanting a little style and comfort during their trip.

A stylishly renovated historic building with planted courtyards, a roof terrace and very comfortable and well-appointed rooms (at least mine on the 3rd floor). Since I stayed three nights at the Parador Santa Maria la Real I was given a discount of 10 USD per night. If I compare the room rate (55 USD for a single person) with what I get in a big city in my own country (Germany) or with neighbouring Chile this is actually a bargain. Free internet service, a breakfast buffet that might not be amazing but, for sure, is above Bolivian standard and friedly staff rounded up my experience at this hotel. Plus: the sights are all within a few minutes' walk.
