We were there before to really chose an other hostel in Sucre, and we were happy to LEAVE IT!
Unfriendly staff and service !
- They have to learn to say the basics : Hello, thanks...
- To get your "breakfast" you have to take a ticket at the reception... why? we don't know...
- You will have your bread, butter(if you are lucky) and jam, without a smile...and you will feel like a dog having his food.
- Don't be late for chekout : a friend was15 minutes late and the staff said he had to pay for one more night !
- This hostel is not clean... trash can are not emptied in the shared toilet hummm! And imagine that you have to put your used toilet paper in this full bin :( disgusting!
- Impossible to close the toilet/bathroom at our floor.
- If you want to watch a movie in the smelly tv room...good luck!
It´s really a shame because the building itself is really nice...with a lot of patios to chill out, but the decoration is non-existent, and it should really be renovated.

So, for some more bolivianos, chose an OTHER place, and you will spend a good time in Sucre!

The staff is so unfriendly it is almost funny. Do not expect any answers to any question or any helpfulness. My single room was relatively clean but the bathrooms were downright dirty (toilet is in the shower with little clean space to hang your clothes while you shower). Breakfast is bread and jam, juice and coffee or tea, but again the staff cares so little that they manage to ruin it. On the upside this place is very cheap and well located at 2min walk from the central plaza. The patio helps to meet co-travellers. The luggage deposit is a room in which anybody could walk in and take your bag. Don't expect the apathic staff (the receptionists were more interested in watching tv than attending guests) to watch your stuff or prevent someone to walk away with your bag

Amigo Hostal is pretty much a young backpackers party place. Its a good cheap option if your on a tight budget but despite the "quiet zone 10pm" signs everywhere its really not.

We had a double room on the ground floor, it was pretty basic and the shared bathroom was nearby, although one of the toilets flush was broken and unfortunately someone had left a little something in there which was a bit off putting if you were taking a shower which we werent able to do as the hostal doesnt provide towels. So be warned!

Also youll need to bring your own toilet paper, not a problem for us but thought best mention it.

Weve been travelling for a very long time and this hostel is pretty average. Its not bad but not too great either. The Breakfast is jam and bread with hot drink and juice, the staff are pretty moody and not particually helpful. They also have some bizarre rules about the use of the fridge and the dvd...

If your looking for a place to meet people I would suggest here and if you like to party its a good choice but for us it wasnt great.
