My cab driver recommended this small hotel to me late at night after the one where I had made my reservations turned out to be not nearly what it had stated in its website. He couldn't have chosen better. I stayed at the Andalue for a week while job-hunting in Chile. It was off-season, so I got a VERY reasonable rate which included breakfast. The entire staff was lovely and helpful, and el dueno has excellent English. The rest were very indulgent of my bad Spanish. There's a heated pool which I didn't try, and a guest computer with internet, which worked just fine. I felt perfectly safe there as a woman traveling alone, and the hotel struck me as very family-friendly. The rooms are clean and comfortable. What more can you ask? The location is a couple of blocks from the beach and downtown. There's a bus stop half a block away.
