We stayed in a 3 bedroom 2 bath apartment. Simple accommodations but clean, comfortable, and affordable. Service was perfect, each person was friendly and offered to get us anything we needed. You will need some Spanish and be willing to fumble along in communication. We were greeted with smiles and offers of assistance every day.

We stayed in the second building and road noise was not an issue at all. The sea lions are a little noise but their soundtrack fits in perfectly with the crashing waves. Closed sliding glass doors eliminate all noise. 2 of 3 hot tubs were open while we were there. My only suggestion for the apartment would be a couple of more chairs or another love seat in the living area.

3/4 mile walk to the center of Renaca. Easy access to Vina and Valparaiso. Great views of the coast line. It's tempting to only walk or drive South but don't ignore walking or driving North, just around the corner is another area of cafes and beach, and the drive to and through Con Con is beautiful. In addition as you go North there are several restaurants on the beach, full service restaurants with extensive seafood menus as opposed to the simpler cafes on the beaches of Renaca. That is not to say the series of cafes on the Renaca beach aren't worth a visit, on a clear evening they provide fantastic views of sunset on a clear night. Of course the balconies at Neruda also provide this.

We stayed in a 2-bedroom suite with a kitchen. Nice place, a few km north of Renaca. Saw sea lions and penguins on the large rock formation in the sea across the street. Crashing surf. Amazing view of Vina del Mar and Valparaiso around the wide bay to the south. Clean, very functional room with a nice balcony. Road noise was a bit loud but not a big deal. The daily basket of breakfast goodies (white bread, butter, jam and instant coffee) was a nice, if simple, touch. Good grocery store (Santa Isabel chain) about 2 km to the south in Renaca. Only real complaint was that the hot tub was only partially functional and smelled a bit stagnant. It seemed they were in the process of fixing the whole place up in preparation for their high season, so maybe that will be resolved. On the whole, we very much enjoyed our stay.

First off, note that this hotel is not in Vina, but Renaca- which is a good 10-15 minute walk from Vina.
We stayed here 4 nights- the suite was spacious and had a lovely patio which looked out onto the water... and the very noisy sea lions. The first night we thought the sound was young teenagers yelling and hollering! Then we learned it was the "barks" of the sea lions. It didn't really bother us at all. We spent time at the pool- which was always very clean (but a little cold)!. The hot tubs were wonderul- we sipped Pisco Sours while in the tub, with a beautiful view of Valpairaso (with our infant son sleeping soundly in his stoller, next to us)! The hotel provided us (free of charge) a crib for our son. The hotel also delivered bread and jam, along with tea and instant coffee to our room every evening. The hotel offered free WiFi from it's "lounge", although I seemed to pick a virus when I logged onto the net work. My husband used the eliptical in the "gym" but said most other equipment was broken and dated.
Buses were easy to catch not far from the hotel which took us into Vina and Valpairaso.
Overall, a great value!

Having booked this at an excellent rate, for us it was value for money. At full-price, I might be a little less enthusiastic about the value, but not about the experience.
But, as a honeymoon location it was perfect. Secluded enough to be private and romantic, close enough to shops and restaurants to be convenient, magnificent views of the water and seals, and in a great position for exploring more of the area than just Vina and Valparaiso.
The apartment was huge, very clean, beautifully set out and decorated, and with ample breakfast provisions. Cooking facilities are practical and clean. staff arre courteous and unobtrusive.
It gave us a memorable and special place to be at a special time, and we would go back there in an instant.
