We stayed 3 nights. First room door hinges falling off, electrical outlet hanging from wall. We changed room and the sink was leaking in the floor. There were no free room or plumber available so they gave us a bucket to catch the water under the sink. The room was hot (with windows closed) and noisy (with windows open.)

I had read many negative reviews of this hotel but enjoyed my stay. The room was a basic hotel room with a view of the street performers below our window. It is within walking distance of a great shopping area and just a block from the subway. The neighbor is safe and has many restaurants and shops nearby. The staff spoke limited English but was helpful whenever they were needed.

They double charged us claiming that they didn't have our reservation on the day we arrived. We had prepaid via Best Western's website for the Jan. 29th, 2011 date (2 rooms.) They claimed we had no respervation for that date and were forced to pay again, becasue it was "not their problem". Best Western's in Chile are francised and even though the corporate website sells their hotel, there is apparently little or no cooperation. We are no having to "fight" a battle with 2 entites that both claim no responsiblily. I would advise against anyone staying at a Best Western in South America, with a prepaid reservation..

dirty rooms, floor not vacuumed in our 4 day stay. Towels were a dirty grey.
bathroom floors not washed. Showers grungy.
Staff indifferent, except for one lovely man, named Christian., who was lovely and helpful at all times. We will never stay there again.
