Overall we had a pleasant 5 nights-stay at the Corp Executive Al Barsha Hotel. We had no problem getting our taxi to our hotel from the airport unlike what other reviews has mentioned before. Corp Excutive is a popular hotel for both locals and the foreigners from all over the world with its location near the Mall of Emeritus(5-10min walking distance)
The staff from the hotels are generally helpful esp the bell boy who offered to pay for our taxi fare(AED 80) first upon our arrival from the airport as the taxi driver refuse to accept our AED500 note(the smallest note we had). In addition, the bell boys are much knowledgeable about the train services and opening hours of various tourist spots and malls. They were more than willing to help us with our directions and enquiries. Kudos to the bell boys!!
As for the front desk staffs, it will be nice for them to serve a guest at a time. There were a few occasion when my enquiries to them were ignored or I was kept waiting for a good 10 min and with the staff returning without an answer for me or even forgetting my enquiries. Eg, upon our first arrival at the hotel, we needed to change a AED 500 note to pay our taxi. We asked the desk staff 3-4 times and they rudely replied that they had no change for us. However, after our check-in at the front desk, and I again asked for a smaller note change, and surprisingly now they had change as compared to 5 minutes ago. During the whole check-in process, I was there and noone added any notes into their cashier. Miracle huh? It will be great if the front desk staff can improve their attitude and serve with a smile.
Rooms are clean and large with the kitchen facilities. The sofa in the living room can be easily converted into a bed for 1. As for room keeping service, it seems a little inconsistent (maybe by different staffs). Alt. days btw excellent cleaning and days with dishes were not cleaned with soap residues or missing towels.
Better staff training will def help.
