the room was quite big, with one bedroom, one living room, kitchen and two bath. for sure you have space for everything. for hot water, you have to keep in mind there's a switch you need to turn on, otherwise no hot water :) clean place and everything was working properly. probably the forniture are old (especially in the living room). there's a free internet in the hall, by one computer.
the hotel is in bur dubai, which is less "autentic" than deira but surely quiter (couldn't hear prayers) and less trafficated as there are bigger roads. finding a taxi is not hard. sometimes can be complicated to find the hotel. you need a taxi to move from there, there's nothing at a distance you can walk. the room was very silent.
the area of the hotel is like a dormitory, there's not much around.
the hotel is not far from a bus station which can bring you to abu dhabi for example.
the people at the front desk may not know the real answer to your question (e.g. is the suq open on friday?) so if they don't appear too sure you better double check.

i'd recommend this place if you are looking for a cheap and quite place.

This place had awesome reviews and was not too expensive in comparison to the other hotels We stayed four nights in the hotel. The hotel is very clean, the staff (all of them) is excellent, and the location is terrific. It's a beautifully kept property . Wifi is everywhere. The breakfast all included in the room price, is beyond the ordinary hotel treatment and was very much appreciated. Stay here with your significant other. Both will be happy. The location is perfect, with everything within walking distance. The hotel has a very relaxing atmosphere and staff tries to assure that all guests enjoy their stay. The beds were very comfortable and the pillows were more comfortable than those at home. We have decided to stay here again in the spring and will try to get the same room. WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A two night stay , free Internet or pay as you go WiFi was fine. Room was well sized with added cooking and laundry facilities if needed. Friendly and helpful staff , courteous porter and an underused pool with views of Dubai skyline. 15 min walk to metro station and you can then be in most places from there. No complaints

We had a good four night stay at Arabian Dreams. We were given an upgrade to a one bed apartment which was extremely roomy and well equipped (washing machine, microwave, cooker, kettle, large fridge/freezer etc., Cable TV, two toilets. The only down-sides were a smelly drain in the otherwise clean bathroom and no external view - the bedroom and lounge looked out into an internal light well. Staff helpful, reasonable location in Bur Dubai (less than GBP 2.00/USD 3.00 taxi to/from the Creek), though limited places to eat in the immediate vicinity. And the wi-fi charges are silly expensive - better to use the free PC in reception. Recommended for budget accommodation near the old town.
