I stayed at this hotel in March 2011 with my a nineteen-month-little girl and friend for over a week. At first we were confusing about direction where we lived, but latter we learned that Mall of the Emirates just about 15 minutes walking where we found the Dubai Ski and the Metro-Sky Train station that can take you to the Dubai Mall and other interesting places nearby.

Besides, there are 2 - 3 convenient stores and groceries serving with inexpensive prices, such as Lu Lu mall or mini marts where you can buy fresh foods and cook at your hotel apartment.

The room is good size with fully equiped kitchen and washing/drying manchine. Hotel staffs services is just perfect!

I spent a week in Dubai and stayed in a one bedroom apartment at the Pearl Coast. The location is good but you will need to take a taxi to most places. In the hot weather (May - Oct) the metro is too far away to walk to. The apartment was spacious and well laid out. The kitchen was well equipped and the separate laundry room was great. The roof top pool is nice although the opening hours (9am - 6pm) are a bit limited. The gym is fine - nothing special but a fairly decent selection of workout machines and equipment. Where this hotel really falls down is on housekeeping. The attention to detail is lacking, cleaning not thorough, and I had the feeling my things had been gone through. Odd things like the lights being on when I returned from a day at the office, having left them off, bags being moved and closed zips opened - small things but slightly unsettling. I would stay here again - great value - but I would want to know that the housekeeping issues have been resolved.

the apartments are lovely.. We had a 2 bedroomed apartment with 2 bathrooms, and found itnperfect to get over our jet lag after flying from New Zealand with 2 small children. The location is about 10mins walk from the Mall of the Emirates and the Metro, which is good, but I did think that for a longer stay it would be nice to have restaurants at your doorstep.. There was a supermarket opposite, and a small pool on the roof, which was however too deep for our kids..staff fairly pleasant but did not have the best level of English.. Apartments run by the Dusit group now but they do not qualify for Dusit loyalty points.. Much as I loved the apartments I think I would look to stay in a different location the next time I visit Dubai..

I stayed here in October 2010 for one month whilst preparing to leave Dubai. I was with my wife and one month old enfant. Poor service included

1. The hotel boast a business centre, there is no business centre at all and they charge AED 5 to scan one piece of paper. When I complained to the hotel manage they did it for free but it took them five hours to scan and email me an urgent document.

2. The pool is awful, it is not a swimming pool more like a splash pool on the roof of the building. As it is a building site its hardly the tranquility I would expect of a Dusit hotel.

3. The deli on the ground floor is excessively priced, its AED 36 for a sandwich which is about £6 per sandwich. If you get two and a drink each your loking at no less then £20.

4. The gym is ridiculous, they advertise a fitness room but its a room just stuffed with treadmills, bikes etc. No room to move, and definately not suitable for those wishing to work our properly.

5. The price is very high for what you actually get. The rooms are fine but nothing special.

6. intenet connection is sporadic and very unrealiable. When you ask the IT people to come it usually takes them a few hours to send someone. When you have urgent work this is unsuitable.

The overall accomodation is OK but this place is not designed with families in mind. For example at the front of the hotel there is no ramp only steps which makes it impossible for a pushchair or those in wheelchairs.

We chose to stay here due to the advertised facilities you are meant to get over and above cheaper accomodations but the above shows the facilities are pretty inadequate and so you would be better off staying somewhere that is cheaper, it wont have the same 'facilities' but as you wont use what this hotel has to offer you would be better to save the money.
