“Good city hotel.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2012

Nice hotel in the city that is only a short walk to the busy creek. It is beside a main road so it’s easy to get a taxi to take you anywhere in the city.
The rooms are nicely decorated and very clean with large double beds that are very comfortable. There is an extensive room service menu with the food that I had being excellent.
The restaurants in the hotel also serve good food with the hotel bar being nice and large with plenty of seating. There is also another Irish theme pub called Waxy's which is good, this is part of the same building as the hotel and frequented by plenty of hotel guests and ex pats with a wide range of drinks.
Service at the check in desk was prompt and efficient. All staff I had dealings with were helpful and courteous.

Room Tip: Ask for a room well away from the in house nightclubs. Can be noisy but not a problem if your going...

Good hotel..
The hotel has a huge lobby with good interiors. The service at the reception was also good. They allowed early check in and late check out..The hotel has many restaurants from indian to lebenase. The room is spacious with good quality of beds and the room was very clean and well maintained. The hotel is located in bur dubai which is almost the centre of dubai so all tourist places are nearby..there are many indian restaurants near the hotel.
The most crowd in hotel was indian.Swimming pool was on top floor which was great. The hotel also has an roof top lounge which offers good food and it feel great at night there.
Try to get a room facing the main road to get a good view.

Room Tip: try to get a room facing the main road to get a good view.

“Very expensive for nothing”

I have booked this hotel by travel agent only for one night as i couldn't find rooms any other hotel near work due to DSF, the room is very basic and super expensive.
i paid 650$ for 1 night, i thought i will be staying in Royal palace....but far away from being.
Staff are not friendly and can't understand what you are asking for.
also location is bad and very far from any attractions.
i don't recommend

“Just average”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 January 2012

We stopped here one Sunday night earlier this month prior to a Royal Caribbean cruise. We had booked via Trailfinders as had many other guests.

Upon arrival we were met with that blank look from the receptionist you sometimes see when the reservation system does not have a record of your booking. This was resolved fairly quickly and we were allocated a premier room. Our room was very big but devoid of any character and the decor was drab. The bathroom was fine. The bed was comfortable but the hotel was very noisy, luckily we were too tired to care.

We ate in the chinese restaurant within the hotel which was just OK but fairly priced. The biggest disaster was breakfast (which is at odds with an earlier poster). We had breakfast at 9am on Monday morning. The dining room was in parts dark and dingy but the biggest problem was that the staff were overwhelmed by numbers. Many tables were uncleared, the breakfast was buffet style but there were no clean plates or cutlery. The staff were unable to serve us tea or coffee because there were no clean cups or teapots. A good start to our cruise.

The hotel is situated in a business area mainly consisting of endless computer shops. It is a short walk to the Creek, a couple of souks and the Dubai museum. There is a small pool area on the roof but having looked at it I doubt many people would want to spend too much time there. We had a cup of tea in the lobby just prior to leaving - 18 dirhams a cup.

Room Tip: Try and keep clear of the nightclubs. I guess higher the better.
