I stayed here on business and booked the hotel via booking.com. Upon checkin the reception staff would not honour the rate and were determined not to discuss it. For an international hotel the checkin desk staff do not have good enough English and have an objectionable attitude. The rooms are clean although I booked a twin suite and had to make do with a standard room due to the checkin staff being not the best. My room key stopped working and checkin made me try 4 more before they called an engineer. All very frustrating.
The is a really good Chinese within the restaurant with some fab staff.
Overall ok but disappointed mainly down to checkin desk staff.

ok it was a clean hotel ..but it makes u pay for everything ...breakfast, internet facilities ...
some of the staff was helpful but others really cold ....people cleaning the room was nice i must say ....overall we give 5/10 ...

This restaurant serves some good Indian dishes with some okay Indian music! The ambiance is good so is the variety of food items offered. The service is warm and friendly. The portion sizes are on a bigger side; so keep an eye on what you order unless you want to waste the food. We loved the Tandoori Jhinga which was of succulent tiger prawns.

This was always our favourite Indian restaurant in Dubai.

Previously their Lamb Shank was a truly spectacular dish, recommended by Time Out and we made an effort to go to the Dhow Palace Hotel on every visit to Dubai simply to go the the Aangan and have their lamb shanks.

They also had a great Indian band playing most nights.

How it has changed! On our last trip in Dec 2011, the first mouthful of the lamb shank told us something had changed. Now it was just a below average dish. A band was playing, but not good and way to load. I don;t go to a restaurant to just hear a band, but to engage in conversation. Completely impossible, I was shouting at my wife to make myself heard.

It turns out the chef, the band and the manager has changed - all not for the better.

Unfortunately, my advice on this restaurant has changed from 'must go' to 'Avoid'.
