OK, location is good, sort of in the middle. Stayed there quite a few times as close to the office. Location is about the only true positive thing with York.
Noicy at night. What ever you do never take a room below level 5. Lobby looks more then from Sodom and Gomorra then from a 3 star hotel after 21.00 hours.
Brekfast is a killer. At least lukewarm now a days compared with few years back. However it is painful to eat. Close your eyes and chew.
Business center and fitness center is a joke.
OK, some staff really tries, friendly, helpful, reception though haven't a clue on service and for most parts not in english. Smelly AC and ventilation. For most parts fresh bedlinen but check for bedbugs. One time room infested with the little buggers. Managment not to happy to give even a small refund- how can you beet that in a 3 star hotel?
3 star- not. 2 or even 1 star would be more correct.

York is located ideally as the new metro station is right outside(will be up and running soon)..burjman mall upscale is 10 min walking...but the night club in the hotle is too loud and the activity goes on late into the night...which is a dampner...

I have visited the hotel in sept.
1. Price is great compare to other hotels.
2. I liked the staff, they were helpful.
3. location is good, approach to many useful near by places "Mall, Beach, Resturant, Metro etc etc..."
4. Singles can mingles, If they are new in town.
5. Highly Recomended for singles.
6. Breakfast is good.
7. Hotel room was clean.
8. Room service was exellent.
9. Best place for fun.
10. Prostitues are not allowed at any cost for the reputation "nice".
11. Hotel is quite after 3:30am. "After FUN" :)

over all my experience was great and i wish to visit this hotel if i will travel alone or with friends.
GREAT DEAL.... TRUSTH ME...

Well where to start!!!

The check in experience - The guy on reception was totally disinterested until it came time to take the money and then was very attentive.

I was told that i needed to pay for an extra night as I was arriving early in the morning, as I was checking in as after he had taken the money, another guest checked in for the same period but did not have to pay for the extra night. When I questioned this, the receptionists english skills quickly disappeared. I asked for a refund and I was then told that I was not able to have one as there was no Manager, I asked him if I could speak to the person in Charge and was told that there was no-one there. He then proceeded to ignore any further requests until I made a bit of a scene( did not want to do after 24 hours of travelling, but was the only way I could get any reaction).

In the evening, the place turns into a brothel. The hotel Lobby is full of Random people, all of which claim to be security but have no identification barking orders at the visitors/guests all of which ahve to be negotiated through to get out.. I left to visit a quieter bar/ cafe so that I was able to get some work done, When I returned, I had made the mistake of purchasing a coffee outside to take to the room, I was then stopped by security and told in no uncertain terms that I was unable to take any food/beverage in the hotel. I explained that I was a guest but this was to no avail...This person then proceeded to tell me..." You can see the quality of the hotel, so you cannot bring any food bought from the street inside" I decided not to mention the number of call girls queueing up and milling about outside or the guy who was throwing up all over himself just outside the entrance.

The room itself is not too bad, although I did ask for a non smoking room, but was given a smoking room. I did find it odd that I was given an adjoining room where the guests on the other side did find it amusing every so often to try and enter (even thought it was locked) through the adjoining door. Also the =y were smoking so much that the smoke and smell even filled my room.
