“loved it , again”

This was our 3rd stay here and again it did not disappoint.
Thanks very much to Thomas for allowing us to change rooms to get a desert view. This meant we could sit in our little garden and watch the Bee Eater catching its food.
The gardens , grounds, pool and general ambience of the property made it really relaxing .The general service from all staff was excellent and the food really good, especially the Indian restaurant. We also enjoyed having pasta dishes added to the pizza restaurant menu.
For us the weather was perfect , clear blue skies and temperatures in( I think )the mid 20's.The clear sky made the evenings in the rooftop bar really special. It was really enjoyable to look through the telescope and see planets such as jupiter.
I really recommend this for a relaxing break in the sun.
The only slight negative is the cost of food and drink for people on holiday, rather than dubai residents, it is very expensive. The quality of the food and drink was faultless but means a substantial addition to your hotel room rate.

“Truly Excellent”

Was in Dubai on business over my birthday weekend, my wife was also there on business at the same time, and one of our associates recommended we got out of town and spent a night here. And I'm very glad he did.

Unlike most of Dubai, this place is low-rise and swish - with no attitude to it at all. A great place to relax during the day and a stylish but under-stated place to spend an evening.

We loved it - perfect romantic retreat, we would have loved to spend another night or two there but we needed to be back in the craziness of town for business so reluctantly had to head back. Life doesn't get much better than watching the sun set over the desert from the rooftop bar with a G&T in hand.

If you go to the desert restaurant of an evening, it starts to feel a little bit more package-touristy - which may not be for everyone. But the show and the fireworks are spectacular. And make sure that you have a very light lunch so as to leave plenty of room to sample the vast choice on offer.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a desert view.

“one night only”

i been to Bab Alshams one night only in my honeymoon , notice service was poor you keep calling reception or other number no reply although many stuff working at this hotel , lighting is poor , its not in the best area of desert , as the sands not soft nice clear like the area which you visit if you join Safari tour from Knight tours in Dubai , we decide to book for dinner in Alhadira restruant , its nice but over rated thus couldnt book as dinner for person cost almost 120 USD including programme but for two in honey moon its expansive , will better join the Knight tours as they have almost same programme for less than 50 dollars ,

we decide to not to visit again , though it was diffrent and better , although breakfast fantastice but not the place we dreamed about ,

noticed that one reveiw said there is no shower gel nor shampoo , its all there and each below bottle of decoration , its good quilty from dead sea and in luxury bottels , really loved it

Room Tip: let them ask for heater , better to bring electrice or battary candle as lighting is poor

“Exotic Arabian themed hotel in the middle of the desert”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 January 2012

We chose this hotel as a destination for our first wedding anniversary and it turned out the be the best choice. It is in the middle of the desert - a desert resort. Something we had never experienced before.

It has an arabian theme to the entire property. By far, the best service we have experienced in any hotel we've stayed in. This hotel has impeccable service.

The pool is worth a special mention. The pool is never ending.

Definitely a must go if you have a spare day in Dubai. Worth the experience.

Room Tip: Get the ones overlooking the pool.
