We had big expectation with this hotel, due to the excellent reports of Tripadvisor in particular regarding the service. We were really disappointed! At the arrival in the Suite we booked they forgot to take my partner's suitcase and we had to call them to ask for his luggage and they didn't know what we were talking about...ok don't bother...then the receptionist asked us about our preferred time time to have the room cleaned but they didn't care absolutely about this during our 2 days stay!Imagine that we asked for the room to be cleaned at about 11 a.m. and when we came back from the sea at 3 p.m. the room hadn't been made yet!We called the service and they said that they would have come immediately but it took another 30 minutes to come and then another 40 min at least to clean the room! I was astonished about this but it wasn't the end yet: we asked the reception to book for the aperitif at Burj al Arab and I swear we had to ask to 3 people before they did it. They always forgot to do it! When at the end we left the hotel , really disappointed, not a word to apologize and last but not least they also kept blocked the amount of money they had taken from my credit card as a guarantee when we arrived for a week after we left. This had never happened to me before! The hotel decor itself was good and also the Club Lounge but I have to say that for being a hotel that was rated n.1 in Tripadvisor for its service I was really disappointed and I can't believe to other people positive experiences for the service of this hotel.
