We avail a groupon for a 2 night stay at the hotel with breakfast, lunch and dinner. It was amazing!
It was good value for money, the room was good, clean and comfortable.
The food was amazing. It had different variety for breakfast and lunch while the dinner was superb -- steak etc. People were great as well especially in the restaurant.

My family and I used a Groupon deal to the Versailles Hotel to explore the old part of Dubai, and to get a different look and feel to 2011 Dubai. The hotel obviously had many different vouchers and deals advertised, as I had to press the management on a number of occasions to fulfill what we were entitled to in OUR deal. I can't complain too much since all the meals were included in the deal, but a little better education of the staff would have been helpful -- especially when all kinds of different deals and vouchers were floating around.

The room was comfortable, relatively quiet and well kept. We used the pool on the roof both days and my young son was very happy with getting to play in a clean, well managed pool. Staff was friendly, and we encountered no real problems other than what has already been mentioned.

The hotel is close to Dubai airport, and has shuttles to both the airport and the new Mirdif Shopping Mall on the far side of the airport.

The hotel does not have the greatest chef in the town, but you can always walk to a restaurant nearby: Indian, Arabic, Mexican, Pizza, hamburger...
Nearby Al Ghurair mall has Starbucks, Chillis and other restaurants. Metro station (Rigga) is nearby. Also Union station is in walkable distance. If it's not too hot, you can walk down to the creek and take a water bus to Bur Dubai. Also you can easily get to Deira city Centre for budget shopping.
The hotel itself is not luxurious, the interior a bit worn and tacky, but clean. Staff was friendly. considering the price, it's a good deal.
When checking in, ask for a high floor. There's a night club, and can be annoying if you were on 2-3 floor.

Ware of the additional costs, which are not added correctly! Or even I have been robber!!!
Hotel at the beginning gave the intermediate impression, semi-competent staff, nearly clean – definitely not good enough for 3 stars. It disappointed me completely at the last day, when I learned that I have to pay for the mini bar usage I did not used, namely. They were nuts and other stuff, which, throughout my stay lying on the table, and last day all the sudden it disappeared (I did not even realized). At check out I was counted for this. I have paid, but the refund and an apology I hadn’t see for today, even though the hotel’s manager ( director) has promised me to take care of it.
Generally I may suppose I have been robbed without any consequences or apologies! Be aware!!!
