July is no month to travel to Dubai as it is pretty hot with temperature hovering between 45 degrees and 48 degrees Celsius during the day and 36 degrees and 39 degrees Celsius at night. Located on Al Quasis, I found it quiet conventient as the hotel has a Super Market just across the street.
Rooms are well-sized and washrooms are neat and clean. Housekeeping people come twice to clean your room. Room service is pretty satisfactory and supervisory staff makes sure that rooms are cleaned quickly after a service.Staff is very friendly and helpful.
Common problems like electricity adaptor are quickly redressed.
Internet services are little slow. Probably the server is either overcrowded or does not have sufficient bandwidth.
I enjoyed the Desi Dhaba where not only delicious Punjabi food, including Tandoori chicken, you also get to watch some good shows by Punjabi cultural troupes,including folk singers, folk dancers and musicians.
Hotel has a pool in the open but it is too hot to use the facility during the day time. Gym is well equipped. Night Club and Disco are fairly popular.
Quality and quanty of food served both in the room and all restaurants is fairly good. Airport pick up and drops are satisfactory.
Hotel has a travel desk that facilitates your sight seeing as well as your participation in adventrous activites like going for Desert Safari or visit to the Burj Khaliffa. Coffe shop on the ground floor is spacious and nice to greet your guests and visitors. Hotel has sufficient parking at the back. Its proximity to the airport makes it ideal for business travellers like me.
Overall I will recommend this hotel for business travellers and also tourists with moderate to reasonable budget.

Ok to stay for a night...if you are on route on a long journey...food is ok....rooms are ordinary hotel rooms...location is also not so great....

Really good hotel with good food to eat. The eating area is clean and spacious. Food tastes good. Lady reception staffs are really helpful and very hard working. Other staffs are also equally helpful. Lobby area is simple and sitting are is also just basic, nothing very great. Rooms are well sized and okay. Bathroom is good and of moderately sized. But rooms some time smell of cigarette and in night time rooms start smelling of cigarette, badly. It may become obnoxious and suffocating. Thus if you get accommodation in good price and are very sure of avoiding smell (smokers should not be having problem), you are staying at good place.

Hotel- “Dubai grand hotel” though it was fine during the day but late night it turns to a pick up point. The first day we reached there by 3 am, It seemed I reached some hotel at pattaya, Thailand. Females flimsily dressed and drunk were sitting in the reception and were coming out of the neighboring rooms. As we accompanied children and my parents I felt very ashamed. I could not answer my 5 year son’s frantic questions. We even saw them bashing some people on 31/12/09 night.
As I told about my apprehensions to front office about loud music it still haunted us till 3 am everyday though we had rooms on 2nd floor. I would still Appreciate that some staff of the hotel was good and help full. But they cannot help in improving atmosphere.
