I stayed in Fairmont Dubai for 2 night for a business meeting. This was my second stay at this hotel and I found it to be of good standard and at par with 5 star hotels of its category.

The metro station (World Trade Center) is located just at the doorsteps of hotel and is very convenient. Taxis are also easily available.

The decor is good. Rooms are very nicely done, well maintained and clean. The room had complimentatry tea/coffee making facility, Iron & Board and Safe. Bath room was spacious with all amenities. Two complimentary (small) bottles of mineral water were provided every day.

The hotel has a long list of restaurants. I used only one - Cascades, for breakfast and lunch. The food quality was very good and every thing appears to have been made fresh, which I don't see in many 5 star hotels.

The internet was not free. However, if you are a member of Fairmont President's Club then you don't have to pay for internet. Don't forget to register yourself before going if you intend to use Internet. Note down your membership number as you will require it for login.

At times, I had to wait for a little while for the Lift but it wasn't too long to become inconvenient. The meeting room on 33rd floor was spacious, well equipped and had a good view.

The hotel staff was courteous and helpful. Service was good.

Overall I am happy to recommend this true 5 star hotel to anyone travelling to Dubai.

It's quite difficult to review a 5* property because expectation levels are set so high but the Fairmont delivered above and beyond. We had an overnight flight and landed at 7.30am. We had advised the hotel and the room was ready for us on check in. The room was spacious and beautifully furnished, large TV, comfortable seating area and a bed to die for. If you are in Dubai on a Friday you must book brunch in Spectrum Restaurant, what a fabulous experience. Free flowing champagne and food from every corner of the world. The kitchen is open to the restaurant so it's almost like theatre, watching the chef's prepare sushi etc. We also had dinner in their fine dining restaurant where the chef came to our table and discussed the menu with us. We asked him to cook his favourites and we weren't disappointed it really was superb. We are looking forward to a return visit soon.

It was really nice stay at the Fairmont hotel, very impresive buffet breakfast, very polite personell. It is worth staying there. I was very satisfied with the comfortable room. And of course you can enjoy a lot of activities in the hotel such as dining, having a drink either on the pool bar or at the 2nd floor bar or even do some clubbing in the hotel!!!!! Its location is very nice as well. It is worth staying!

Very impressive, high level of service, but that's what I'd expect from a hotel in this category. The reason why I think it doesn't deserve the top rating is that a few details were just not right: some things needed repairing in the room, a cupboard didn't close properly, little things that didn't necessarily bother me, but would have made the difference.
I would certainly return.
