Me and my family stayed at the habtoor last year June/July for over a week and there were a number off issues at first.

1) we had to wait four hours for our room, we were hot, tired and wanted to rest as we just got off a flight and although we were told we could go to the spa to freshen up we just wanted to get to our rooms and sleep. We do understand that check in time wasnt till 3pm and we arrived in the morning however it was a bit off a let down that the house keeping team wasnt working fast enough and werent organised.

2) another issue was that the AC in one off our rooms wasnt working and maintanence had to come more the 4 times to fix it and they still didnt manage to resolve it.

3) too much noise from the clubs and shisha bar outside. However I didnt mind as it was entertaining to have music on, although some people may find it disturbing.


Although there were 3 bad points, the mangement and the team made it a wonderful stay as they made it right for us. they gave us complementry breakfast in our room everyday!!! :)
they arranged TWO cars to the airport complementry!!! they also served us breakfast early in the morning before breakfast was even being served!!!

the hotel was BEAUTIFUL! right near the beach! EXCELLENT and NICE pool, VERY relaxing! good for couples, families and friends!! I WOULD DEFFENTLY STAY THERE AGAIN! IN FACT I WILL !!

My wife and I along with my in-laws have just returned from a weeks "Hell" in the Habtoor Grand, Dubai. We like to have a good time on holiday but when you are expecting a refined stay in a 5 star resort and spar with great food and service and you have to put up with what we have just experienced, which we could have done in Benidorm or Ibiza then something has to be said.
We booked to have a stress free holiday, but left this hotel feeling exhausted and sleep deprived!
Booked half board but we were disgusted to find on arrival that we were only allowed a buffet breakfast and buffet dinner in the same overcrowded, dirty restaurant. At no time were we informed of that before we arrived. Seated at dirty used tables, having to beg for spoons and forks, and glasses for juice. We did manage four side plates one morning......we were amazed! The food was cold and lacked variety, not what was expected or paid for. It took four days for the staff to ask if we would like a drink with dinner, and that was because we had spoken to the manager before hand.
That was just the food....now to sleep, or lack of. There are at least two OUTDOOR nightclubs that are raving away until 3.30 am at least five nights a week, hence the 18/30 notation. Again none of this was mentioned when taking the money which is not a small amount. I find it unfair and immoral to allow people to book in good faith for what they are hoping to be a holiday to remember. We will certainly never forget this one! Oh i nearly forgot to mention the air strip on the beach that had two small aircraft taking off and landing every twenty minutes or so with a full passenger load of skydivers.
Staff look after the local ex-pat crowd that use the night clubs but seem to just take hotel guests for granted. If they want the 18/30 club holiday makers then thats fine PROVIDED that this is advertised and guests wishing for a quieter holiday can book elsewhere........THIS IS NOT A FIVE STAR RESORT AND SPAR!

We've organised a business meeting in this hotel - what a mistake! They cater to the lowest level of tourism - people who can only afford the last-minute, heavy discounted tour and expect to pay for nothing extra while on premises. Accordingly, the service is dreadful (long wait at check-in, very slow process, you are suppose to prepay for everything - not just leave a credit card slip, but actually prepay). Breakfast buffet has a great variety but very low food quality and service (no one around to timely clean the tables, bring out dishes and cutlery, serve coffee, etc). We ordered immigration and limo service, but no one was at the airport to meet us, and once I cleared immigration and found the welcome kiosk from the hotel at the arrivals hall, they asked me to wait as they were trying to sell the hotel package to a walk-in client, temptng him to agree and get a "free" limo ride by joining me in the limo pre-paid by me!!! Staff responds to all complaints by brushing them off and showing zero desire to improve.
Don't stay in this hotel unless absolutely desperate!

Of the 5 nights we stayed here, we are up all night for three of them due to extremely loud disco and private parties being held on the 3rd floor outdoor pool area until 3 am. When I complained to the front desk, all I got was a sarcastic smirk.
In addition, our room was filthy, especially the furniture and drapes. We ran out of toilet tissue, and although we requested more from the service desk, none was delivered.
If you want coffee before the restaurant opens, you have to request room service. None of this is consistent with a luxury 5-start resort. This has become a party hotel, and you need to know that before you book because there is no hint of that on their website.
I rarely complain, and this is the first ever review I have completed, but I felt compelled to do so, as the stay at the Habtoor ruined our Dubai vacation!
