May 28, I arrived at Dubai flying with Emirate A380. Emirate, thumb up!! You make my holiday begin beautifully. Not only the food you serve is in good standard (for those who travel in economy, you know what I mean.), but also u serve us with a good manner. From now on, Emirate will be my first choice.
Dubai, I love it. The people I met are all so nice.
Hyatt Regency - it might not be by the famous beach side, but the hotel offer free shuttle bus to take guest down to Dubai Mall etc. The staff in the hotel are all so helpful and friendly.
Tip 1: if you wanna buy any souvenir, wait until you get to the airport on the air side. Is cheaper than any shops (stalls) unless you really enjoy haggle.
Tip 2: fancy a desert 4-wheel-drive? Price could be quite a different. I joined ABC (with the help of the staff in the hotel) which cost me only around 140AED pp. The program seems the same with the expensive one. (the only different is ABC don't include alcohol drink, while the expensive one included) I enjoy my experience with the ABC. Special thanks to the Henna tatoo lady, she is so nice/friendly and her henna tatoo are all beautifully done.
Tip 3: dress code. Many lady worry about what to wear. I still suggest to wear unrevealed style. short sleeve is fine. but tight strappy top, hot pants, mini skirt are a no no. Unless, u enjoy being stare with a disgusting. I said that is because I saw how people on the street react when two young ladies walking in front of me with this kind of clothing on. Later I was told by the taxi driver that many ladies from all over the world 'work' in Dubai's night clubs would dress like this on the street to attract 'client'. So ladies, if you don't want to be mistaken, leave your sexy kitten top in your hotel. Dubai is a Muslim country.
Tip 5 : you do need some cash but I do find the exchange rate seems to be better in Dubai.
Tip 6 : If you want to be on the tallest building in Dubai - Burj Khalifa. I strongly suggest u pre-booked ticket on line. Not only it is much much cheaper, but also you can choose what time you like to go. Time around the sunset is most popular. Also, don't forget to bring in some sort of ID when you collect the ticket. Before you get into the building, you will asked to take a photo. At the end, before you leave, a staff will offer you to buy that photo. I was asked to pay 500 AED. It is far more that I expected. So I didn't want it.

Enjoy Dubai. Is a great place to visit.

Just came back from my trip fromDubai and i had a wonderful 10 day stay at Hyatt Regency Dubai .The staff was very polite and efficient especially Ashish at the reception desk and also room service was excelleny. The restaurants were awesome ,my wife and I thoroughly liked Al-Dawaar and the Kitchen.Foccacia restaurant was also good but didnt quite like the lobster which was pricey, though they did give me a free beer on the house when I complained.
Inshallah will visit next January.

I have recently returned from a five night stay in this lovely hotel. I had arranged transport with the hotel prior to arrival and as I approached the desk at the airport I was greeted by name, welcomed and taken promptly to the car. This set the tone for the rest of the stay.

On arrival, I had booked a non-smoking club gulf view room, but there were no non-smoking rooms available. Without question I was courteously upgraded to a suite with an amazing gulf and city view. The rooms are clean, well serviced twice a day and generally in good condition. The dark furnishing is probably not to my taste, but that's only a very small point of personal preference. Complimentary mineral water is provided together with all the usual amenities you would expect in this class of hotel.

I enjoyed the restaurant options. Yes - they are pricey, but again no more so than I would expect. Al Dawaar, the revolving restaurant is well worth a visit. Apart from the excellent views, the buffet is amazing and the staff are delightful. I also enjoyed Foccacia and The Kitchen. The Club Lounge is good - there is a reasonable selection for breakfast and then canapes later in the day. Coffee, tea and soft drinks are available all day and again, the staff in the lounge are courteous and very helpful.

I didn't use the swimming pool, but there is one, accessed via the second floor. It's too hot for me outside at the moment! - but there are umbrellas available by the pool and a pool bar facility.

The hotel is a little way out of the main centre of Dubai, but I guess that will be improved when the new Metro stop is open later this year. There is a small mall adjacent to the hotel which has a small supermarket for any personal requirements and a few other outlets. For those so inclined - there is also an ice rink!

All in all an excellent stay in a hotel that I would have no hesitation in returning to. It's a pity that the arranged transport arrived so promptly for my departure - I didn't want to leave!

Room tip: Ask for a gulf view.

I booked this hotel for myself my wife and son, last minute (Day we were flying out). From the moment we landed The hotel Limo was waiting for us at arrivals. (Didn't know anything about that, But was in my booking). On arrival at hotel, as it was early our room was not ready but were taken by the consierge to the Club lounge for a buffet breakfast, and were checked in there. The room was SO clean snd the bathroom Well my wife thought it was to die for. All the staff were so curtiest and polite and couldn't do enough for you. After a day out seeing the sights you have GOT to check out CARPENTERS BAR within the hotel. Again Staff and food were excellent. The live entertainment is great. A good way to end a day in Dubai. Overall. Highly recommended.
