“It is ok option if you are visiting Dubai on business, otherwise go somewhere else”
Visited the Dubai Creek Hilton for a ten days vacation, and checked in early in the morning. We had paid for the executive package, and when arrived, there was no room available. The lounge manager tried to sell us a room upgade for over 90 euros/night, which we found very strange. We refuced to paid any extra, and the manager made another offer for over 70 euros/night. We rejected this again, and had to wait our already paid executive room for two hours.
Te design of the hotel is a bit outdated, a lot of marble surfaces and black leather seats. The executive room was quite big, and clean. You can hear some noise from airplanes and traffic, but it is not too loud. The biggest problems was the plumming, the toilet choked every day and you could not put any paper in it. The last morning of our stay, we could not get any warm water from the shower.
With the executive package you can use the lounge service, which offers some snacks, bewerage and a small buffet in the evening (they call it happy hour). The food is good, but they run out of it many times during our stay.
We also had a dinner at the table 9 restaurant (old Verre), which had a good service and as a resident you will get a -20% discount. They also have a bar called Issimo downstairs, which unfortunately was almost empty every evening.
When you leave, make sure your bill is settled right and you get all discounts as promised. We bought a 90 minute massage from the spa downstairs, and the discount promised at check in was not taken into account.
The staff is friendly, although one of the lounge managers was saddly very arrogant. The hotel has many business residents, so if you on vacation and looking more relaxed athmosphere and good night life, go somehere else.
