After spending a long flight from Britain to Dubai, arriving late and getting to the Hotel after 1am, I was surprised to be kept waiting for my room to be ready? a bit strange and the hotel busy with people at that time. Got to our room which was nice and clean, we heard really booming loud disco music coming from their nightclub. The receptionist did not tell us that detail or our travel agent Trialfinders.
The hotel has a sister hotel next door which is 5 star and this one for one night is ok at 4 star but to Dubai's standards not good at all, tired looking. Breakfast luke warm, we did get to leave our room at 2pm as we were late checking in. I have been to Dubai and this hotel just was so disappointing, I would of hated to of been staying more than one night. This was a Sunday/early Monday morning hours for a night club to be going on. If you like night life and want a standard room in Dubai, it is near the Creek 10 minute walk, then this hotel would do. Not if you want sleep though.

is a basic hotel however staff were wonderful. I found it an excellent hotel if u only want a clean basic hotel for one or two nights, much better then some of the others rated the same.

Stayed at Ascot hotel in December 2011, hotel is clean and comfortable. Free airport shuttle is useful, in our case the car arrived late with no excuse. Hotel staff at the reception was bored and not smiling. Next time we will stay at different hotel.

We had booked to stay at the Royal Ascot (as shown on our voucher), the 'sister' property next door. We arrived at 5.45am to find that the hotel's records showed our booking was at the Ascot. Did they simply honour our voucher? No. Customer service was non-existent. The receptionist argued and argued and refused to give us the room we had booked and paid for. Said we could take it up with the management (not expected to arrive until 11am) or the local booking agent (also expected to arrive at 11am). With no choice we were given Room 108. It may have been clean, couldn't tell the room was so dark, its window was really close to the next building. And it overlooked 6 or 8 extractor fans or AC fans on the next building, the sound was just like being back on the plane. To be fair when management did arrive at 11am we were moved to a nice room at the Royal Ascot, but there was no apology. The sole redeeming feature of the Ascot is that it shares the rather ordinary Rooyal Ascot swimming pool on the roof.
